Bundoora, Greensborough & Hurstbridge all undeafeted after 2 games who would of thought. College yet to win.
Heard a whisper there is a good feeling down at hurstbridge with atkins to come into the side and a possible return of one A. McGinty... Crowie must be licking his lips.

Could not imagine Adam comeing back from cairns. Moved up there for family reasons and lifestyle, could not imagine anything changeing. Might suss out though for his Premiership club (Research), could use him at the mo.

Re: DVCA Money Shield 09/10

We need to get some talk going about this week's games.

Who will win?

Who will perform?

Will Bundoora United remain undefeated on their dustbowl?

Will Greensborough continue to dominate?

Will Morang fold under 2 day game conditions?

4. Yarrambat 2nd (Hopefully will make the Grand Final so we can all have a laugh)
5. South Morang 7th (Sources say Batting will be worse than last year)
6. Lower Plenty 4th (Can't be as bad as the team that can come down last season)
7. Montmorency 8th (Will beat the ordinary sides but no match for the top sides)
8. Greensborough 6th (Average HDCA side who will find it tough at first)
9 Whittlesea 9th (New coach will have to take 40 wickets to be in the mix)
10. Hurstbridge 13th (Looking forward to 3rd division next year)
11. Panton Hill 10th (3-4 wins may be there limit)
12. Thomastown Utd 11th (Same faces mean long season)
13. Mill Park 12th (New president, Same ordinary players)
14. Bundoora Utd. 14th (maybe we are rating them too high)

Just wondering Barrel, Teapicker, Nudie, Concussion, One Shot and Stubbie or 2 if it is too early for a rethink?

These 2 have barely lost a wicket so far in comfortable wins, yet you all rated them very low.

Just having had a look at all the weekends results from dvca and abroad, have noticed camrea who left the nmca as they were "outgrowing it" lost in their top two grades. Not knowing a whole lot about dvca can someone fill me in on whether Whittlesea are a super strong side or not? and is my cricket correct showing Camrea are down to just the 3 sides? this would seem unbelievable.

Cheers.

Clubs sometimes have to make some very tough decisions. Camrea has undergone a cleansing phase, and as a result has seen many players move on for various reasons.

Truth is the club through it's enormous successes over the years, has had to deal with underlying problems.

Truth also is that the club moved to the DVCA to re-capture what once made it great as it was being suffocated in the NMCA, and believed it had no future whatsoever. Its move to the DVCA has been in the pipeline for almost 10 years.

The club may struggle initially. And although it may not currently be the powerhouse that it once was, it is an incredibly happy club, with everyone enjoying their cricket and more importantly, each other. And that's something that could not have been said for last season.

So if there are any players out there whether in Barclay or Money who are looking to make a move next season and would like to come to a club with a proven history of success, and help it on its journey to the ultimate goal, then come on board. May just end up being the best ride of your life!

whittlesea have been the cellar dwellers for the last few years.but very good to see them have a good win!and camrea to get put back in their place!:):D

.....And what place may that be?

Re: DVCA Money Shield 09/10

Lewis 121, Duggin 60 odd vs Camrea. I will not tip Camrea again this seson if these two made runs against them. Seems like they could be a good team to play against to give your batting average a boost. Rumour from down at the Franks is that the skipper offered to chuck it in this week unless the council approves his request for a KFC or a Maccas to be built next to the ground.

Re: DVCA Money Shield 09/10

Lewis and Duggin are pretty handy bats though... bound to get some decent scores against some decent attacks at some point during the year...

Ok. hopefully you are right and the move has made it a "happy club" just from speaking to some of the blokes who have left from their higher grades find this hard to believe though, most of them that i have spoken to seem to have left because it's such an "unhappy" club down there, the word i get is that there will be a few more departures down there if they aren't up to a grade next year, from the outside looking in would say there's a bit of pressure on the old tiapans at the moment.

Re: DVCA Money Shield 09/10

So what does everyone think of the round thus far -

Some interesting results in the making

Which clubs will be found wanting, will the new clubs into the competion live up to their reputations

Who is game to pick a ladder at this stage of the season
