Apparently Mulgraves 2's will stay in B Turf...

all A turf sides are going to be their 1st teams

so mulgrave will definately be staying in B to stop having clubs with 1s in dunstan and 2s in A turf.

its too hard for clubs to have their 2s playing against other clubs 1s in A turf with a pro and more than likely their captain/coach

in relation to hawthorn being up there, i cant see toungey carrying them again, as he has for years

hes a good player, but ive heard they dont have many recruits this year, and lost a couple to jobs interstate

st kevins did have a good team in that t20 final against ashy and i can see them taking up the challenge, but wouldnt lock them in just yet for a top 3 spot. fernon is a gun and their big tall bowler is handy, horse i think his name is, and can hit a ball a looooooong way

The big tall bloke you are referring to is Crawford, also made 400 odd runs...

They may lose Ryan Chard out of that side who injured himself pretty badly play for Skevies in the Ammos...

yer thats his name, they looked a well drilled team in the field in that final, but i spose t20 cant compare to 80 overs on a 30 degree day

have mont albert lost anyone this year?

No they haven't... I think they had a Pom last year? If so, or if not, I think they have 2 coming out this season...

Thats the one, plus another one...

Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11

Why have all these blokes left Mulgrave? Big news that Bradleys left as captain/coach, who's replacing him?

I think that is fair enough, however Barnies and Richmond Union were so very poor last year, and their grounds were not really fit to play Cricket on. You just sort of stand there throwing crap at eachother until the other teams falls down.

If the ECA does want to be an outstanding pathway to Premier Cricket then those grounds really need to be brought up to standard.

Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11

TT i just drove past the barnies new turf ground. Its just a patch of dirt with a synthetic pitch on the side. Is this normal a month out from the first "official" game on it?

ok lets get off this NB sh*t

when does the fixture come out and which grounds will be ready by round 1 (majority wont be)

and whos the goose predicting st kevins winning dunstan?

Very well said! Couldn't agree more. Too much time talking about a bottom 4 team.

Stk will be top half of Dunstan I reckon but winning it seems out of the question at the moment.

Round 1, the only grounds that will be ready will be synthetic.

Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11

wow so much fire on this forum.

think i know who most people are but some of you need to say who you are or at least what club. I'm from Nb and I think we have a good young group but like the Dees in AFL probably a few years away from being a serious contender but we have a good solid base to work around.

Think we will be middle of the road this year if we keep our best field on the park.

Look forward to having some good discussion.

As for you Sachin99, be a man and say what club you are from...so I can fire up Howelly for that game anyway...

Seeing as you and Sachin99 share the same computer, I would have thought you'd know perfectly well who he was?

Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11

I had everybody on the case as to the mysterious "Sachin99", Little did i know that he was a short stumpy **** up of a "professional" poker player. See you monday, your return to cricket will be a 10 minute net session with o'neil and Howell.

Haha a 10 minute session with O'Neil and Howell. I think Sachin would be licking his lips facing you boys and the same goes for every other batsmen in dunstan.
