Gold.Paintball, I will let the forum decide who is the peanut. Here are a couple of your recent posts.
"Deepdene have the best bowling lineup in the comp by a mile. GI absolutely no chance. Armstrong will be found out. The rest aren't good enough."
"Richmond City would like to announce that they have 2 overseas - Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes. They are both opening bowlers."
You certainly have a bee in your bonnet when it comes to Grubich don't you. Looks like he faired ok on the weekend and you stand by your comment on Armstrong. They guy has made 250+ for the year, definitely hitting the ball badly lol. You don't play for Deepdene by any chance do you Paintball. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you make a big statement you have to be prepared for backlash.Do you think the RC thing was serious? It may not have been funny, but it wasn't serious. As for GI and Deepdene, I stand by everything I've said. GI are overrated - Grubich for example, and Deepdene have a terrific side that will go very close to winning the title.
I think Armstrong is a great player. better than me! I don't think Grubich is bad, I just think he's not a great player and he's often put in the top group of players. You certainly have a bee in your bonnet when it comes to Grubich don't you. The one thing that makes me laugh on this forum is when uneducated people make unwarranted comments. We're four games in and people are writing sides off. I hope everyone agrees that this is the strongest competition we have had in years and by the looks of things anyone can beat anyone on their day. To say sides are going to win the GF or get relegated is ludicrous when we are 4 games in and 2 have been affected by rain with 2 one dayers. There is plenty of cricket left n this season that's for sure and I am looking forward to it.Not at all. I didn't think they were up to Deepdene and I still don't.

Ok new topic, the most influential players and match winners at each club, who are they?

Bulleen - Davidson
Deepdene - Parsons
Mulgrave - Slack
Hawthorn - Tongue
MA - Devine
RC - Laws
StKevs - Blood
ED - Crowley
GI - Gruebich

RC : Laws
St Kevs : Fernon

good topic that i personally think the bowlers are the most vital part of the team as there are so many bland wickets that having a decent bowler in your attack goes along way to helping your side influence a contest however there are some quality bats in the comp as well, mine as followsAshy - Cox
Bulleen - Davidson
Deepdene - Parsons
Mulgrave - Slack
Hawthorn - Tongue
MA - Devine
RC - Laws
StKevs - Blood
ED - Crowley
GI - Gruebich
Rain robbed GI of victory or gave them a better chance? Anyone here bowled with a wet ball? Advantage batting side every time. I never read much into results where the weather clearly has a bearing on the performances. I'm just glad they appeared to get a fair chunk of the game in. If a certain ex Dunstan umpire was there the game would have been called early and he would be home wrapped in a blanky with a hot cup of cocoa.Damian, I only gave GI a 40% chance of winning and clearly rain robbed them of victory. Well done GI. I also picked them for relegation. Should I wipe the egg off my face now or wait until they at least win a game. I think their batting will win them enough games not to finish in the bottom two. I hate being wrong. As for Mont Albert finishing bottom two, nothing over the last two week ends has changed my mind.
Never heard of Blood? The big mon is hard to miss.Mine would be:
St Kevs : Crawford - can ruin a bowling attack in a session. Who is the "Blood" for skevs a couple of mentioned... Never heard of him?
Mine would be the same except I would say Fernon from Skevs and maybe Matty Andrews from RC.Mine would be:
Bulleen: Davidson - can take bags
Deepdene : Parsons - damaging with bat & ball
Mulgrave : Aldons - big scores in 2-days always handy
Hawthorn : Tongue - run machine
MA : Hargreaves - consistent
Marcellin : Black - can be damaging on his day
RC : Laws - young bloke with an old head
St Kevs : Crawford - can ruin a bowling attack in a session. Who is the "Blood" for skevs a couple of mentioned... Never heard of him?
ED : Thompson
GI : Armstrong - can score quickly and take a game away from you
Boronia : Suckling - don't know much about him, but just going on stats
Mine would be the same except I would say Fernon from Skevs and maybe Matty Andrews from RC.
