Hmmm considering Bulleen and Mont Albert made over 300 I'd say the batting weather wasn't too bad last week. It's funny how people keep coming up with excuses for a bad performance. I am sure it has all happened to us before where there is no excuse for the demolition of your batting attack on a perfectly fine day. That's cricket and it happens!!! Who think Boronia will be able to hold off St Kevins on Saturday. Anyone offering decent odds.
 
I think sometimes we go a little early when assessing form of wannabees coming back from less than established careers in Premier cricket. Cannot compare Premier Cricket wicket to suburban pitch preparation

I have never heard a batsman accept an LBW decision.....Word as i have it, is Slack was hit on the full with a ball that would have hit middle.....sound plum to you? As for the others.....nothing out of the ordinary.

That reaction from Punter was the funniest thing I have ever seen!

I rate you a chance to bowl skevs out Damian. 1 down already overnight so anything can happen. Skevs have been winning, but haven't really been setting the world on fire. I would say they are defintely in front, but wouldn't count your boys out of it.

Well yes, funny is definitely the case. Alas I am not from Boronia just interested to see what everyone though about their chances. This really is one fantastic season for upsets!!!

I'd back Boronia in regardless of the odds. For sure Skevs are in front, but whenever Boronia seem to get a sniff they turn into the noisiest, fiercest, most determined side I've seen in recent years, and whenever they get that about them they seem to get a win. From all reports it's how they went about beating East Donny and Mulgrave. I haven't seen them much this year, and I know St Kevins can bat and bat and bat, but knowing that team and how much of an important game it is for them, I reackon they are a big chance.
 
My tips given the scores are Ashburton to bowl Deepdene out for under 200 (heard a rumour Parsons could be injured and may not bat), Boronia, Glen Iris outright, Mont Albert, Bulleen and Richmond City(Tongue to fail).

GI outright - arrrggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
MA & Bulleen (possibly outright) - they both have the ability to take 20 wickets in a day
Ashy - if Parsons doesn't play, I might go the outright here too

Hey Paintball, when was the last time you were at Tormore road mate? You must live in cave champ!
The decks at Boronia are never "dodgy as shit", they don't roll out that crap there unlike a lot of other decks in the comp !
I presume your taking the piss with that comment?

If they can get rid of fernon cheaply, they've got a chance! Still reckon they needed another 30 runs on the board though to have a real sniff?

Defending f*ck all, if you're not telling the curator to make it a sporting wicket, you're out of your mind. Get the boy a slab, get the sprinklers on and get yourselves 6 pts. If it's a road, you're gone.

Yes Doggy is a quality cricketer, but they have 3 other quality bats that you need to get out as well. Skevies to win 4 down!

Agree. I think in years past Fernon has dominted the batting at skevs and they definitely relied on him too much (ala tongue, pasons, aldons, cox etc. at their respective clubs), but it seems skevs are sharing the runs & responsiblity to score more evenly of late and could be the reason more results are going their way. When we played them I thought their top 5 were quite strong. Crawford, Davis & Baker can all bat. They do fall away quite quickly after that so if Boronia can nick a couple out early and get it to the tail they will be a real shot!
