Mick O'Toole your asking about? he came 2nd in the two's batting average with around 30, but that doesn't bother us just happy to have him and hope he enjoys himself at his new club and gets a few runs.

He was prob the pick of the batters last night at training, will add some more than needed stability in our middle order with Luke Bennett and Jason Murray.

Has the potential to be a very good player if he applies himself and doesn't get too far ahead of himself. Keep his head in the right space and you will of picked up a very handy player. Bowls a few mediums as well and is one of those blokes that seems to pick up a wicket every time he bowls. A good change up bowler. Hopefully he goes well this year.

BIG THINGS IN 2008-2009

The BPCA Member Clubs have accepted the proposal for Geelong West Sporting Club to participate in the BPCA from the coming 08/09 season.

After being formally endorsed by the BPCA Executive on 3rd July, Member Clubs voted on Monday night to officially accept the proposal and expand the BPCA to include the 14th club.

As a club, Geelong West, aim to provide their members with the best possible competition and playing environment and believe the BPCA will provide an environment that will allow their club to prosper, whilst providing the best standard of cricket for their members.

Geelong West have a rich history beginning in the 1920's. Last year the club fielded four senior and three junior sides (with St Peter's known as the West Colts).

You need to get a life and a real job! stop wasting everyones time with your posts that know one cares about. You ain't funny, Indians aren't funny.

You need to get out more, kicking people off big cricket doesn't worry anyone, they just start a new user name, or are you not smart enough to work that out yet?

So it's best if you get back to your Indian cricket threads and talk in there someone might actually listen to your law enforcement:mad:

And how many times have you registered a username on here? Talk about needing to get a life.

dont worry bout that. the gloves are off. probably get weeks. double standards by umps and gca.

hehe, don't know about weeks. As far as I am concerned it is all in the past. South will be looking at making sure last season was not just a one off and that South Barwon are actually the real deal. By the time we play Grovedale we will have played a lot of cricket already so will just be another game in the 2008/2009 season. One week at a time !! :)

bunch of whiney losers who just sit under your helmet and sledge when your pounding them all over the ground.
v lehman is the only bloke in the line up that has any talent with the bat, and since runia is playing 4THS i wouldn't be too worried about gwc&fc ;)

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Runia would be the quickest in the BPCA by a fair way, Vinny is a gun don't start that crap, and were only playing in the Bpca comp I'd like to know who you think would be better than us there?

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

anyone know how modda went last year?
realistically, i think they'll be a strong club and probably the only club that will give us a challenge this year.
maybe little river, but we flogged them outright last year so why would this year be any different

if you have not played cricket against people with no arms, you soon will. very humourous day playing against them. pencil ur side in for 280-300 minimum that day, declare, then throw down a dozen overs before days play is over and have them at least 4-5 down.

What a tool, if you couldnt dominate gca div2 what makes you think you can in the bca and if you do that would make it an inferior comp:confused:

all you have to worry about with west is rolling in all the dog shit that litters their ground and the painfully slow over rates when they have to keep fetching the ball from the FRONT yards of the houses that back onto their ground after you paste their pies straight back over their heads

vinnie has never been, and will never be a "gun" granted yes, the guy can bat, but he is far from a gun.
and as for runia, he isn't quick anymore. he can be sharp, but not quick. i mean murray isnt half as quick as he used to be, and he'll still be twice as quick as runia.

I wouldn't take them too litely. Have some good players, maybe not world beaters, but will be competitive in BPCA.

can't imagine the hard man not having a few words back, he's usually not short of a word or two! If he didn't Watts must be an almighty sledger!

c'mon guy, this is a good topic....let's hear your favourite sledges....especially you ones players, it's all a bit more genial (usually) down at my level :p
