Mate please dont bring up Ross Aylmer in this, Richies is a O.K div2 bowler and I'm being jenerous there. Ross was averaging 40 in GCA div1 1st by 21.

Take it easy buddy, we'll see if you blokes ever get up to div1 if he's leading your attack then??

i believe dean riches got 4/25 then 4/28 in two weeks!! and that is in div 1 b4 we got demoted?? and he was only bowling as a 1st change bowler then... im not saying that he would lead any attacks in div 1!!

his not the best bowler in division 2 i agree with you on that one, i never said he was. his probably the 3rd best seamer we have when we have a full-fit squad available, as i said earlier he was asked to do too much last season because for whatever reason, injury or availability.
for you to say that he won't ever be any good cos his 21 and cant put the ball in the right area is ridiculous.
i only bought up ross aylmer because i was arguing that over a long period of time you acquire knowledge of the game and your ability and what your strengths and weaknesses are, i'm sure he knows more about his game now than what he did in 1988.

It probadly is harsh to judge someone on 1 performance, but surely after 2-3 overs of trash that he bowled something would click in his brain and tell him that he's not bowling in the right areas. Maybe if he hasn't got it by know it is the coaches down there that aren't telling him where he should be bowling.

I said his 3rd pick when we have a full-squad to choose from.Joffa is injured alot yes agreed.
Castle works alot so can't train.

He knows where to bowl it, just obviously had a bad day the day Mr Swing King saw him bowl. Everyone has them, i'm sure even you Mr Wrong 'Un have been out of form once or twice in your career?

Who's your full squad? got Sean Tait and Glenn McGrath tucked away somewhere have youse?

Look I got no problem with his bowling seen him maybe twice and seemed honest enough, but don't think he should be named in the top 10 in the comp, thats all.

You Thomson blokes take it to heart, maybe stop worring about whats said on here and show us on the field instead of dropping names and telling us how goos youse are.

and we will!!@|

And who would be your top 2 then?

The phantom man Bosworth who's always injured? who else? and don't say Castle coz he hasn't been playing 1s for a while now.

how old do you have to be to realise where to bowl it? 31? 41? 51?

I said his 3rd pick when we have a full-squad to choose from.

Salts is too worried about what end he's going to bowl 30 overs from then giving a rats about his seamers.

And O'Neill is 12 years old and prob didn't realise:D

i know for a fact that sean helps riches out in the game and in training, i know sean isnt a seam bowler himself but i know he has helped riches out allot!! last season was riches first year at all opening the bowling full time, so going of his first season as an opening bowler, he done quite well i would think!!

I'll just reinforce that I wasn't having a go at Richies just saying he aint in the top few at this stage. there are some quality bowlers getting around and he has a long way to go to be put up with the best in the comp@|

Look I threw Richies name up because I know how hard he works and I have no doubt he will be the big improver this season with the ball, sorry to create so much debate!

He did bowl against Torquay, and took lots of punishment. However, that was 3 years ago. He is 3 years stronger, and 3 years more experienced.

Referring to yourself a bit in 3rd person there mate, would be easier to just say ME instead of RICHES wouldnt it?
Good work on giving yourself a pat on the back at the end there too boss.
