I was there for about 5 overs and i left and leopold were 6-200 off 61, kiddle wasn't even 50 so he must have kicked on in the last 24 overs.

Ando and Babbsy were at Thomson until about 6pm yesterday, they weren't drunk when they left Godfrey St.

Sure he would of been a huge help drunk on the side line with that big mouth of his.

Who got runs for marshell?

Glenny H has only ever hit one 6 in 1st XI cricket and it was off the one and only Thommy Rissole !! hehe, at least you have a place in history from Glenny's point of view.

Haha i've been hit for that many i forget :D

Although for rough memory, full-toss flat batted over to the Barwon Heads Rd side of South Barwon, think that was my only bad ball that day.

As for Babbs and Ando- Disagree. Babbs was working today and didnt play. Ando is a big boy and if there's ANY truth to the rumour i reckon he's old enough to make his own decisions. When bowling well, he's just about the best around atm in the GCA.

Anyway...It was a clinic from Kiddle at Newtown today. Good deck, good outfield- Used both pretty well. The 2 Kiddles broke the game open after tea. They went from 5/150 to 6/230 in no time flat...took to a few of south's experienced campaigners and batted really well. Philthy Hunt bowled well, as did IPL. Will be a big chase next week- but very possible at that ground.

It ain't a rumor it's fact he was blind drunk and by all reports bowled pies today and showed the effect of a hangover big time:(

Saw Kiddle totally outclassed South today.Great deck and great player.
Doesnt help when you key bowler gets on the piss all the time!

I hope that south nip this in the bud quick smart because if they take themselves as a serious flag threat they should drop him next game and set an example or it will be open slather and they can kiss their season good-bye.

They must of drank a shitload between 6-11pm then from all reports:rolleyes:

Trent Leslie had some clean hitting at Godfrey St saturday, think he ended up close to 80.
He wasn't drunk at our cricket yesterday, think this has been previously stated!

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

also any takers on some of the sights we would be expecting to see tomorrow at the Geelong Cup with some of the cricketers in Geelong ? Any regular punters at the cup, anyone to avoid, who is a classic to be around ?? And before you all start South's Ando and Babbsy are both working !!

Batted ok, might've go to 30.
Bowling was ok, did his hamstring though so couldn't continue.
Don't know figures.

hehe, good memory, exactly how it went !! And sorry if you heard the South Boys laugh their heads off, but Glenny does not normally hit off the square so it was something we had never seen, and are never likely to again :) Unless of course he gets a game in our T20 side !! Sorry Glenny !!

The thommy boys will be out in force, my tip for best on ground would have to be Jay Bowman, the man is a big event specialist and has been in preperation this day for a couple months now, spent a month at low altitude training and has been sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber. David Boyd won't be to far behind Jay but i'm tipping the three english imports to finally get amongst the aussie women and get of their ducks.

we still have not had a match report from young Ants14 from the weekend. It would be good to hear the insight about if there was any chances in the last wicket partnership or if those two just batted really well. I see the Joeys potholes did not cause any long term damage to Ant either. Also what was the go with Clinton Ford bowling 39 overs unchanged ?? I assume he was on the 3 step run-up so it is not a herculean effort from the tall Ford, but still a pretty tough gig. Did the Joey's wicket assist the big man in allowing him to drop the ball on a length and not having anyone game enough to smack him back over this head ?? He is the guy that has bowled ten overs 1 for 0 a few seasons back, might have even been last ?

i would have been required to bowl 20 plus overs if i had of been 100% fit mate, especially with scowny gone to the wedding. anyway here goes.
tsitas won the toss, (2 headed coin of course) and elected to bat on a pitch where the batters could only get themselves out and outfield lightning. kelson and cruickshank opened and batted well against some good bowling from scowny. kurt hiller eventually came on and got the break through which brought about a collapse because they started batting like retards and went from 0-49 to 6-70 odd when scown left. finished on 6-90 odd at break. ants14 got the first wicket after break and that took them to 7-102, and then it all went downhill. tsitas put up a bit of resistance with baker who was dropped and a stumping was missed. then finally we had them 9-180 wen our second sub fielder came on for shane lymer going to work. then harps and mcdonald batted well and didnt throw it away, harps got dropped once but apart from that we just didnt have the firepower to get the last breakthrough.

baker ended up on 80 odd i think, mcdonald 53no, harper 47no, and cruickshank 43 at the start. scowny 3-39 off 16 straight at the start, col millard 2-61 off 31 straight overs, good effort.

btw harps i sed nice things bout u, no bouncers please

ask and you shall receive gca ipl lol

Winning or Losing could be the difference between an u21's game ants14.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

What were the Thomson scores Rissole? And as for Ando and Babbsy getting on the gas, I don't see the problem! If I was skipper and they were seen out at 5 in the morning I might have a word, but 11pm is hardly a crime.

Wake up idiots......BRETT ANDERTON IS THE BIGGEST LOSER IN GCA - massive personality faults look at the number of clubs he's been to, only a matter of time before he's looking for his next club. Babbsy has had a drinking problem since he was 15, always will. The only reason he went to Sth is so Brett has someone to spend time with at the club as i know that not too many down there actually like the bloke....Guild looking the goods too!

I think people need to grow a brain have seen certain senior cricketers out on the gas until god knows what time in the morning and then rattle off big scores and also a big bag. If you have a question for babsy and ando if they were on the piss then i guess tuesday night go down to training and ask them. I'm sure there will be quite a few interesting onlookers waiting for them both to stick your head up your own ass. . .

As for worrying if South will be contenders, well that in the hands of themselves but as far as im concerned there probably one of the most consistant finals contenders over the past 5 years, aswell as Grovedale, East and NDCC. If you went out and rattled off a hundred after being on the piss til (oh my god 11 OCLOCK) then im sure you probably do the same thing the next week.

Your an idiot for even worrying about what other people are doing. Babsy was working you toss and Ando is the best GCA bowler. Cant stand people that shoot there mouth off and try to get other people in the shit.
Did mummy tell you that you were not aloud to drink before a game, stiff shit you are probably not old enough to even understand what cricket was about 10-15 years ago when nearly every cricketer drank before a game. Friday night sessions were fantastic, its up to the individual what he can and cant do, if you wanna have a drink on friday or saturday its your chioce dont need a parent permission slip to do so. If you were good enough you might go on a Country Week Carnival and understand what you can and cant do. . . Think before you type you dimwit. . . . .

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

You have a serious problem, to say that a bloke has a drinking problem, you tool, if you dont even know the bloke then im sure you no what your talking about. He is one of the larikans of the game and it is people like babsy and ando that make the GCA interesting as there are so many stuck up SO-CALLED superstars in the GCA (tsiatas, dew, quick, courtney, D.Kiddle)

If Ando's personality faults has got something to do with how fired up he gets its because he plays his heart and sole out for his club and has a crack and walks off absoulutley stuffed after a game, then yes he is guilty but to say no one likes him down at south then you must be from east belmont or one of the GCA's knob head commitee members.

Get a life . . .
