I think we start next wednesday...Which is far too early in my book!!

probably a reason why you are playing 2nd XI at best, 2nd XI at best !! :) You should be living and breathing cricket just like your childhood idol, Chuck Norris !!

yeah i'm with you fineleg2fineleg...i HATE it. don't reckon it's overrated, it's very important for getting in touch for the season proper, but i just hate training without the prospect of a game coming up!

time from first training to first game...7 weeks 3 days...that's 45 days total... *sigh*

nearly as long as it takes an elliott to make 25 not out :p

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Anyone know of any practice matches this season? who's playing who? or who your club has got lined up for a pre season hit out?

Well maybe you and Mr Cricket should get a sleazy motel room together and use test match analysis and pre season net sessions as foreplay.

I struggle to understand y u need to start so early, i mean whats the point if round 1 comes and you get a duck and your team gets flogged?

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

thank god that stopped. I thought we were almost going to ban Clearing Pickets and 2nd XI at best for making their fantasies public on a cricket forum !! I bet those two would not last two seconds at the St Albans Major Raffle !!

There is currently no clearances being lodged internal in the GCA due to the IT system not being open for use yet. Not sure if Barwon Zone have opened also yet.

Latest I heard is that Brad Scown might be off to Modda.

Please note that we were merely trying to look after your needs by hooking u up with other guys who tend to blow at the prospect of pre season training and statistical analysis (see mr cricket for more info)

I wouldnt last 2 seconds at St Albans because id prob be done in a drive by or some crap.
