after getting pulled for 6, chris runia stood in the middle of the deck and abused a bloke saying " how's a ************** like you play a shot like that? " to which the reply was " bowl it agian and i'll show you "
fair enough, same half tracker was pelted down and went sailing over the fence in almost the exact same spot.
runia dragged himself the next over and didn't bowl again for the rest of the day
i was umpiring at square leg, i nearly wee'd myself.
very funny i like it

Froim the boundary at last years grand final Tsitas seemed to be giving the South Barwon batsmen some friendly advice.

what barry was sayin that day was a disgrace. and there was about 10 others in gold caps that werent far behind.
a lot of the time im not proud of some of my sledges but i think i that was crap.
we will get our revenge this year.

just stuff im sure when they look back, they wouldnt be proud.
yeh, they won the flag by 4 runs, we'll all move on, but im sure there are a few blokes at south that will never speak to a few of them.
Umpires on that day couldnt control the game, and everyone sez about the spirit of cricket, well it was thrown out the window that day.
just shows how weak the gca really are.

Shame the rematch is so far away.

We played a Grand Final against Grovedale and i dont know what was worse. The abuse we copped from their players on the field or from their bogan supporters off the field. I have never seen or heard a bigger pack of knobs. There is a difference between sledging and personal stuff but they just obviously dont know when to stop. They should ban these sorts of people from breeding.

Every ball D.Boyd faced in the Grand Final Tsitas seemed to be having a fair bit to say

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

when Jas Murray is on song he is one of the quickest in Geelong, and that is on turf wickets. I reckon he would slide the ball on even quicker on the hard wickets.

Tim or Chris??? Is Chris still bowling off 2 paces

It's Chris coaching Barwon Heads, nah he comes off a decent run up.

He's not quick just medium, still be quicker than Runia though

just make sure you keep your whites on.
if you do happen to pass out on the 114m journey from the bar to your bed at least the traffic will see you on the side of the road :D

Zinc up aswell Boogs. Not just because of your ginger complexion, but it'll act like cats eyes in the road. Few stunt drivers at Thommy so watch out for them.

All this talk about pace and no mention of Travis Randall?

waurn ponds are up there, the keeper is a mouth. had a nice little confrontation last season with that ring worm after i had not faced a ball.
anyone who tsitas has played for, seems to turn clubs to the dark side.

I heard lez was trying to get a clearance to Joey's. you'd be sad to see the back of him no doubt..

haha tsitas is a much loved geelong cricketer i see.
there was nearly a mid pitch punch on in the grand final with us and ponds last year. they just take it too far.

mate, murray still rates as fast as anyone in geelong. jones is pretty sharp.

we played marshall one day, at tea watched ndcc v sth barwon when murray was still there. he looked pretty bloody quick that day, a LOT quicker than runia has ever looked.

Nolan, Fitzgerald, Hodgson, Bowles, Casey, Farnsworth and O'Donoghue will play 1s this year and are all under 21.
We will be the youngest Div1 1st team.

this could be the make or break for joeys
alot of young guys with good potential
it could go either way
young kids and confidence can be a potent mix
they could blast a side out of the park
or then there inexperience could cost them

nothing to worry about mate ;)
bunch of whiney losers who just sit under your helmet and sledge when your pounding them all over the ground.
v lehman is the only bloke in the line up that has any talent with the bat, and since runia is playing 4THS i wouldn't be too worried about gwc&fc ;)

you are a goose i love all this "nothing to worry about" we'll see.

V Lehman will dominate the comp, tipping he will make 500+ runs and hopefully Runia plays he will be the best bowler in that comp with ease, just need a couple of others to stand up this year and it will be a very successful year for us without doubt.
