just trying to pinpoint the time wen i was crying. pretty sure i was just sticking up for my club n teammates. we know were rebuilding, apart from alf col and sam there is a real lack of experience in our side. we know that. were dealing with that. the way for players to improve is to persist with them and then they get experience. thats what were trying to do. it may be a long year, we will see wat happens, but id be backing us to win a few games.

by the way i thought that was a little bit funny. little bald man. lol. actually no. very funny;)

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Looks as though South have taken a big step forward today, in being able to chase down 300, with Hornet only getting 30 of them. Im sure Leopold would have thought they would win comfortably, if at the start of the day u said he would get 30. East, South and Grovedale look to have shown they will be the teams to beat this year. Ants, u have played 2 of these so far, which is better at at the moment?

well as an all round side i would have to say south. we had grovey on the ropes last week, at 7-102 so there batting looks a little suspect. and south proved today that there not a one man side, as u sed with hornet only making 30. so yeh south r the team to beat imo

if the great Becko exposes himself I am sure Ando will do the same for Renny !! hehe, the name Beckodelay was bandied around the South Barwon 1st XI discussion all day on Sunday, we were nervously looking around the corner to see if we could see the great man !! When we had the video camera out we thought we spotted some guy sitting on the back of a ute in an orange top. We swore that must have been him as he just sat on the back of the ute all day and by the large appearance of the man he was an admirer of the game !!

Beck my friend; sorry but for the third and possibly last time; I am not Steve Illingworth.

Great chase by South today; witnessed a bit of it. A good batting line-up which chased superbly on a bowling green ground. Take nothing away from the Swans but the Lions were out on their feet with bowlers; no Skrobolak or Zanoni, Stow opening the bowling injured of five steps and Armstrong on to bowl spin 11 overs in. Still; 300 is 300 and they did it well.

Bambury is a good bat - a very good bat....in the top two or three in the comp but his antics on the field are fairly ordinary. Only one worse would that f*ckstick from Grovedale Tsitas. I don't know how Harps puts up with him.

hmmm, it was a white ute, we have video footage of the man as he was just there in the background of all our shots of the day. Young Stewy was a Swan for one season as a junior until he got taken away by the Grovey Tigers.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Great chase by the Cheetahs yesterday just came up a bit short. but I think we weren't that far away St Albans couldn't probe through our strong batting line up and we batted for 71 overs which proves that we will be there abouts come finals time.

Well done to St Albans but after what we saw over the last two weeks we won't fear them whatsoever if we happen to meet come finals in fact I hope we do!

It's true becko, the first thing IPL asked me when i came down to watch last sunday was "where's becko, have you seen becko" haha.

We at Thomson just want to know when are you going to come support us?

And to add to that yes Renny is correct, each club may have one overseas player per grade :) and at this moment in time there isn't any pressure on McCoy in the 1s, he'll come good, his a good cricketer who just needs to spend some time in the middle, hopefully this week against the Highton Heat.

A bit short.......I don't call 100 odd runs a bit short....face it, you just weren't good enough d*ckhead. You don't win finals batting for 71 overs either.

Your last comment proves you have learnt nothing. Be gracious in defeat and say things like 'they were the better team on the day' and leave it at that.

Shut up toss pot, we couldn't get the runs in the end so be it, we were in the game all day.
There boring defensive fields didn't help the game either:rolleyes:

Sorry to dissapoint but the overseas players at Thomson don't get paid.

Our game this week should be quite a good contest, both teams seem to lift a little bit against each other and after last season's 10th wicket 70 run partnership, very tough to pick a winner.

Thank you knowa, my thoughts exactly. This F**kwit comes on here weeks ago talkin it up like they are the west indies of the 80's after beating a lowly jan juc. they play a top 4 side and get flogged by 120 and not even bat the day with st albans missing muzza who is a bloody gun bowler, and they let 376 get smashed against them the week before and they're happy. F**k me have they got a bit to learn about the game or what. bunch of spastics if ya ask me, with massive gobs that dont match their abilities. im sick of em, dont ever hear your shit again cheetah boy, piss off:mad:

again you show your ignorance and ridiculously retarded cricket brain, 376 on the board, you can do what you like, defend or attack. no wonder your club was in churches for ever. sour grapes galore from you nugget chasers.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

Well the STICKMAN nearly stole the show for the Dino's on Sunday, a couple of telling boundries and a big six. St. Joey's dogged medium pace attack had the answers backed by fanno's straight breaks!!!!;)

Disapointing loss. Gotta cop all the crap now, on the chin.

Great knocks by Harmon 197 (St.J) and Robbie Evans 130no (NDCC) in the two's Sat.

Doesn't matter where or what grade you play, always a pleasure watching good clean hitting. Well done lads.
