it's making a joke of a great competition, a President who is also a President of a direct competitor in that grade. A rules person who is hated by all clubs on both sides of the river and sits on everything to do with all aspects of the VTCA. For the sake of the future of cricket, both must stand down and move on, McNamara back to his mob at Hoppers as they push on to Sub DIstrict. How could the clubs allow this to happen and I believe more shit has gone down with Spotswood, it's affecting all grades and clubs that thought that they were playing finals, who didn't,even do anything wrong. Clubs that didn't deserve to be in the finals in a few grades are now in because of small admin errors.I'm not at either club, or this competition anymore, but is the talk all around cricket in Melbourne at all levels and is being watched from higher. It's a pity one of the last two Presidents couldn't take over, at least they didn't have a massive conflict. It seems very, very odd to me too. I would have thought a clearance from Oakleigh would be sufficient, since the previous clearance made him an Oakleigh player.
The article makes no mention as to why the club lost points in all four grades in which they compete, including (from memory) more than six matches in the Fourth XI. Which makes "He denied the VTCA did a deep-dive investigation of all South Caulfield's registrations" a very interesting statement.
