I think the vtca was more concerned about there reserve day for 1st 11 cricket working than getting a start on the first day of a round... I know we are just one ground but there was no chance of playing at parky. Pitch was fine but surrounds were still mud when I popped down at 330 and our covers are massive... Might've been different in different locations but that's my 2 cents worth

Yeah true.. I'm all about mass participation, give everyone an opportunity to play = turn up and have a look particularly in dec, oct you are more likely to be definaetly washed out.

alright guys i have noticed a lot of banter on here lately but my issue is that it hasnt been about me . you yarraville club blokes need to pull your oscar paringa out of your lemonade and sarse . make sure when your batting that you avoid the short ball because you need to protect your great barrier reef . when your fielding make sure that theres a bit of george bush when the bowlers running in . then afterwards we can all have a davey gower put on some murray rance a gary pert maybe a laurie sefafini for bald guys and head to the pub for an ishant sharma and douggie got.

Will put it on here as well as west B1 thread. Cricket was played against Sunshine Heights today where I was. One of the worst things I have seen on a cricket field happened today. Ball was miscued straight up to where the bowler starts his follow through for an easyish catch. As the batsmen runs he veers off-course runs right next to the bowler and gives him a slight elbow to the gut as he catches the ball. He was out and a few of the St andrews players had something to say but nothing out of what should hav been said. Umpy said he is out and would hav been given out obstruction if it was dropped. Although there is worse that happens on the cricket field, the batsman being the captain coach of their side, i feel that is deplorable.

Got the 6 points today so thats all that matters to the club really, but I just think.....do people really play cricket in that matter??? We are not playing for millions of bucks.

But a fair chunk did. (I think only 4 games out of 18 in the 3s and 4s had no play on Saturday) We got the covers down on Thursday (well done to our grass nerd). The deck had no preparation from then until Saturday morning, but it was ready to go. We had 120 kids running around in the T20 Blast on Saturday morning, so the outfield was fine. Makes it harder to justify to our members and our council that we have an asset where they have spent a heap of money, and yet we dont use it on a day that was mild and sunny

the undertaker welcome to big cricket for the first time " I BET " . what have you got against the grub , what has he done wrong . i hear there was a big cricket forum at yccc on saturday or sunday where a group sat around admitting to who was who on here . how did that go , any out comes.
 
i also there was an admission from a recently retired yccc left handed batsmen . not the fat one with the shit hair style , the one with the west indian sounding name. any truth to that rumour the undertaker . p.s. howd you get the name . love it .

gee your getting upset undertaker , no need for that champ. all who wet was asking was did anyone finally admit to who was who on here . the two rumours i heard out of the day were that Y.C.C.C got a bit cocky and tried to save the best for last and it backfired . and the other was that money bags pracholli would not put his hand in his pocket again . any truth to those two rumours .

Anybody got an idea when the next round of T20 matches will be fixtured? The last meeting said it was going to be done over Xmas, but havent seen anything yet
 
The next T20 matches are listed on My Cricket, but the only way I have been able to find them is to look at each of the grades for the "EF" (Elimination Final) round:

Greenvale v Keilor Park
Haig Fawkner v Glenroy
West Coburg v Doutta Stars
Sunshine Druids v Altona North
Aspendale v Old Mentonians
Clayton District v Hampton
South Caulfield v Parkdale
Port Melbourne v Werribee Centrals

Specified date is 20 January.

Interesting text msg from vtca today saying that covers were optional for tonight and home clubs are responsible for any issues arising from not putting them down, i assume they didnt check the BOM before sending it out. Whether forecast for Saturday morning is isolated showers WTF!! It probably won't rain but a strange decision IMO, driving past several grounds tonight on way home from work, middle Pk, Brighton, Hampton & Parkdale all had covers laid, it will be interesting to see if rain does occur whether games are affected!! It seems that clubs are smarter than the blokes that are running the comp!!

BOM were consulted i believe and not one drop of rain fell
