Don't worry, Chokewood go weak at the sight of Robin Toulmin working at the canteen.

well thats bloody unbelievable, i think that chokewoods odds have decreased of winning after that display of cricket. there now $100

I think the diggers odds have shortened significantly, especially with their big name recruits all firing on the weekend

Re: Grenville Cricket Association

everyone has seemed to go quiet on this thread over the last couple of days. perhaps nobody wants to talk them selves up before the big game this weekend?? well may the best team win

Re: Grenville Cricket Association

Well it has finally arrived. The big showdown of Carngham VS Linton Gold. It is a game not to be missed, it will have everything. The pace of nick obrien, the spin of mitchy panesar, it may even be swoops last game so i have heard. But the big thing to come from this game will be how the superstar parker duo go. will thee be some chin music delivered to them or will carngham go easy?? how many byes will he have. surely he cant have any considering he is apparently the best keeper in the league! the other question is will dave parker earn his spot back after being dropped from the gold diggers this week. Will carngham recruit rocky dummett for just this game of the year? All the answers will be provided this week. if i were you i would not miss it!

yes very true Bang 4 B&F. i think everyone from different clubs will give their game a miss just to come see this absolute blockbuster!!!! i haven't checked SportsTab for the odds of this games but i think they'll be very even since the gold diggers knocked off rokewood. well anyway we'll see what it turns out like, i know i'm definatley going, whoever wins it will be a very busy week on this thread.

im not so sure bout even croca considering rokewood were without key players like blackford, carr and webster. its still a good effort to beat them but the odds are not even, i wouldnt write lintol gold off just yet but carngham will start the game in a better position!

Yes Yes it will be a blockbuster for sure! So young nick is giving ballarat a break from his sensational bowling scores cos i dont see much of a batter there... according to the paper anyway.. Congrats to his brother for his duck good stuff superstar! Mitchy will play as he does, so will the whole team.. oh and bring on Dummett cos Linton has Clint back so will Dummett come or be at the races??? as for the parker boys - if they left your club well they obviously dont give a rats clack what you think so good luck to them.. good luck to all the boys.. lets hope its a golden game of cricket whoever wins.:)

What im saying about your club is that although you have some good junior players and some very good older players the crocs have always seemed to talk up recruits coming but always fail to get them. Maybe this is saying that no one really finds your club attractive to come and play cricket with and socialise with! Yeah its great that u guys are all locals but when your older brigade finish were to then? When was the last time sumone rang up keen to play a season with the crocs from outside the valley?
And yeah top effort in beating us the other week far to good, as you were last year in both games. But im not sure if you no but it didnt count for much come finals! P.S dont worry ive got red hair to!
Hello Mr woodsy. i am an avid cricket supporter and love the game and love to browse thru the big cricket site and upon reading some of the stuff on your threads i have to say that you appear to be one of the intelligent ones of this league.. why have the boys all gone quiet??? Is it perhaps this weeks blockbuster game has everyone a bit jittery, are the gold boys & the crocs more concerned about there performance on the day than bagging the ******** out of each other.... Or are they all keeping it for the weekend. If i can find the ground i plan on coming out to see the level of cricket/sledging on display. I might rate the parker and obrien boys after this match cos i reckon im a pretty good judge of player and how many diry hacks has your league got by the sound of it theres a few??... Talk soon Mr Woodsy.

Re: Grenville Cricket Association

As the gold diggers have done all year, they will continue their rotation policy, which will mean Dave Parker will play against his old side tomorrow. Because of the large numbers rolling up to play for the diggers, they rotate 2 or 3 players out of the side each week, meaning everyone misses a game from time to time, and nobody misses 2 games in a row.

Re: Grenville Cricket Association

And so the match of the century has been played, it wasnt as good as it was expected to be but who cares these days. for all those bogans who havent heard the news, the crocs won the match comfortably. the crocs finished with a large total in the 200 runs mark. and the gold diggers bowled out for im not sure how much. out of anyone who i picked to make a 50 i would never have picked Mr. Miagi. what a innings it was by the big fella, stand and deliver.

i saw one hell of a six hit by trevy dummet that nearly went over the grandstand and there was more hit by the gold diggers.

L. Parker top scored for the gold diggers with 37, decent, due to the fact that he may of thought the crocs might be bowling at his head. none of that was done tho.

i heard that there were a few words were spoken between (2 anonymous players) at the end of the match. anybody care to inform me???

Laurie was very lucky to make that 37 though.. he batted with a lot of luck.. and i do admit he was one of the highest scorers for the day but maybe he has now realised he made a stupid decision to leave carngham for linton gold. wats the point of him making runs if no1 is gonna be there to support him!!!!

yeah he'd have 2 realize that by now. Seriously, why would u wanna play cricket with your mates when you've got the opportunity to play with a bunch of blokes that don't like you and have so many juniors there cheering you on.

congratulations to carngham yet again for an awesome start to the season: if they gave out the premiership cup in november you would have won the last 6 in a row.
