Is it Derrick? Tho dont recall Christian as one of the leads and I believe that was set in Germany.

Wow, you've heard of Derrick? Amazing. Watching the series used to be a most welcome activity to unwind after a long working week on Fridays at 20:15 when nothing else was on. Yes, it was set in Germany.
In the Zurich Krimi, Thomas Borchert, a lawyer without a licence, returns to his old home town of Zurich after years to evade the German authorities. He is believed to be complicit in a bribery scandal. In order to prove his innocence, he wants to put a stop to the company and find evidence at a Swiss bank. In the process, he becomes embroiled in ever new entanglements and also in cases where people may need his help. Borchert works closely with a law firm. He has a strong sense of justice and wants to help his clients as much as possible and bring the truth to light.

Why did you pick this one from 2018? The next episode is on Thursday titled Borchert und die Stadt in Angst (City in fear)Part 2.
Ja. One of our tv stations showed it. I must have watched it for several series.

It's a film version of a horror writer's novel.
Not the biggest watcher of films made from his books.
I like this genre the least of all flicks. Pass.
