Re: HDCA cricket forum

Heard a rumour that Ryan Smith former Bergers captain is going to make another comeback this year, any Heidelberg people confirm this. Also heard from the same source that another former captain Russell Gardiner has also decided to play on, after tearfully announcing his retirement last year. This would make a possible 5 former club captains playing in the one side, maybe a case of to many chiefs.

Re: HDCA cricket forum

anybody confirm a rumour abounding that HDCA willl anounce a new sponsor within days? i hear it maywell be a finacial institution from country Victoria? seems the new MC are making headway!:)

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Heard that rumour and maybe a local real estate agent?

Heidelberg, GCC, East, Rosanna, & Edinburgh can are the only teams that can win A-grade.
Banyule lost to many players and Jeff Wilson is very over rated

Ryan Smith, he will be a very handy inclusion into the Heidelberg lineup, looking forward to the season ahead, don't believe they will have too many chiefs although by the look of their side last year i think they had an overload of chefs!!!!!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Ho man, have heard a few stories about this Gardiner fella, apparently he has hit a few big boundaries in his time, he must be quite the player. Is he still going around? If so, what club for these days?

TLB, do you have a close relationship with Gardiner? Seems that you are fairly confident that he will be heading to Brunswick St, this would be a huge loss for HCC, he is a proven performer in big games!!!! Hope he stays there as i enjoy having a refreshment with him after games (Not that he shouts very often!!!!)

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Have just heard the news that East Ivanhoe have recruited a handy young player from the Netherlands, apparently only 18 years of age and played in this years World Cup! You can check out his stats on their website. If this is so i am assuming that they will be expecting big things this season with two international payers in their lineup. Is it true that the Bergers have also picked up an international player in Singh?

Re: HDCA cricket forum

Ive heard he's name is Rajat Singh, apparently been playing lower grades for a few years and has been raking up big numbers including quite a few centuries. From what my spies tell me he a swashbuckling, charasmatic batsman who loves to thrash the bowling. Also heard he's dynamite in the field and can also send them down at quite a rate when stepping up to the bowling crease. Ive heard comparisons between him and the Sri Lankan from East Ivanhoe. It looks like they've unearthed another talented youngster down at Tigerland.:
