Re: HDCA cricket forum

A question without notice to all. Currently is there a better all round player and club leader in the comp than Butera from Greensy? i note the Banyule bears lost on the weekend without his ex@| periance and leadership?

TLB, i think you are on the same stuff as Maaarv!!! Granted, Butera can play the game but his leadership leaves a lot to be desired, by no means is he the best all round player and club leader, how many clubs has he played at in the last 10 years?????? I rate club leaders as those who perform over a period of time and set an example for others to follow, very similar to that fellow from Berger Land.....Doug Roberts???

true, without giving it away i played 1 season with Dougie many years back. he was then a marvoulous player and with the weight of his mate on his back performed very well under pressure.

Not sure who you are referring to when you say "his mate", could it possibly be Lee Toohey? Now that is one fella who could turn a game in blink of an eye! Have heard a few stories about this bloke, can you shed any more light on his illustrious career???

From all reports you are right on the money there bingo, there seems to be a perception around the HDCA that they pay big bucks, you would think that some of the players are being payed in food vouchers by the waistlines on some of them!!!!

That is a bit harsh bingo, Gardner is one of the all time greats of the HDCA and i am sure he will turn it around when he gets his chance in the 1's this season. By the way you aren't that new bloke that bowled for HCC on the weekend, was going past and stopped in for a look at the blowies and saw many a ball dispatched to all parts of the ground!!

Re: HDCA cricket forum

yes Bingo that is harsh on a all time great who has serveed vmany a club with honest brave sporting passion. you could learn from the great man not be threatened by him! hail the prince.;)
