Great finish to the game. It got really close in the end but they have their top order to blame. They were too late to attack. The run out of White and Arun Kumar was very vital too.

bangalore cant win a game for their life. they did a really good job with the ball and had an easy target but they made it difficult for themselves. kolkata bowled really well especially ishant and dada but they should have still won it. i think someone is going to get fired now.

Lol I heard their CEO got fired after the last match? I think Dravid should be fired from captaincy.

Dada picks up the MOM award. It shows that in this format a good economy rate is as good as 5 wickets. He had an economy rate of just 2.33 :eek:

Their CEO - Charu Sharma - was dismissed recently, and coach Venketesh Prasad was also going to be sacked but wasn't. I'm sure Vijay Mallya will be unhappy with this result but he is helpless as he is not the one going to perform out there. Sacking Rahul Dravid will attract too much negative publicity, which I'm sure Mallya doesn't want.

mallya has to understand that firing the staff is not going to work. he should have picked better people at the start. the team they chose was not the best. everyone was saying that its a test xi and it turned out to be true.
look at shahrukh khan, on the other hand, his team lost but he still treats them nicely and motivates them instead of intimidation.

There are only four teams that can progress but all these teams are owned by big businessmen who want to win at all costs. In the end, four of them will lose. I guess some of them wont be able to handle it in the right way. At this moment, it looks like Bangalore is one of these teams.

Moving on to tonight's game, this is a very important win for Kolkata. They have broken their string of losses but they shouldn't get carried away. This match was against one of the weaker teams in this competitions. 5 out of other 6 teams would have successfully chased 129, on this pitch. As Ganguly admitted at the post match ceremony, they need to focus on their batting. If it doesn't improve, I can't see them winning too many matches.

What rubbish batting by Deccan. That have thrown away the good start that Gilchrist gave. This team is the worst in this competition.

deccan should be ashamed of themselves. they are such a terrible team even though they picked so many big players.

yousuf pathan has been amazing throughout the series. the third ipl fifty for him today. i think he will get a chance for india soon at least in t20. hes a awesome batsman.

Yusuf Pathan should play for India instead of the useless Joginder Sharma. He is a great striker of the ball and I think he has a good future. He isnt known as Irfan Pathan's brother anymore.

The game is in the balance so far. Raina threw his wicket yet agian today but at least Bardinath is batting. I want to see more of him. He has looked good today.

punjab are making a match out of this but i think chennai will make it by 10 runs or so in the end. they lost too many wickets in the middle of the innings.

marsh is having a dream run in this ipl tournament. he hasnt had a single failure so far.

No Afridi for Deccan today. They made the smart choice. He was a waste of a player. Vaas is a better choice. But I dont know what Deccan are playing for. They are out of the tournament so I am hoping that KKR win.

lol Even Hyderabad know that Deccan cant win. They were cheering when Ganguly was given not out. This is a very slow start for 2020. Ganguly is hitting shots but Chopra is playing very slowly. 2 off 7 balls. What is he doing in a T20 match?

You were right MasterBlaster, Vaas was a much better choice. Wicket of the fourth ball of the match.

Afridi on his day can be devastating but Vaas is a much better player in the longer run.
Ganguly is playing well but he needs a better partner. Aakash Chopra is playing slower than a run a ball. I think Chopra has to hit out or get out.

I think Chopra has to start hitting big shots otherwise Ganguly might get out because of pressure to up the run rate.
Deccan Chargers are given up all hope. Their body language is poor. They are not fielding properly.

This is a good situation for David Hussey. There is less pressure on him so I think we might see a good aggressive innings from him today.
