I was expecting the Bangalore bowlers to make a match out of it but they were terrible. I think we can safely rule out Bangalore and Deccan from the semi finals. It must be disappointing for the owners as they bought very good teams, especially Deccan. I their problem is that their captains Dravid, Laxman are not suited for T20. If Kolkata loses the next match Ganguly will also be joining them on the list.

what a reversal of fortunes for chennai. they arent the same team without hayden and hussey.

these days we are seeing more and more low scores.

Mumbai are playing the strongest team I think. This will be a big challenge but I dont think Mumbai can win without Sachin.

You might be surprised because Mumbai are doing quite well. Doesn't look like the Royals will get to a decent score. They are in danger of being bowled out without finishing their quota of 20 overs.

Superb batting by Delhi. They have a really strong top order in Gambhir, Sehwag, Dhawan and De villers. This is their 3rd or 4th 100 partnership of the IPL. They should go for 190. That will be more than enough the way Chennai are batting and with their strong bowling lineup.

Chennai are actually batting quite well. They are ahead of the required rate and have 9 wickets in hand. I think this match will go down to the wire.

Sehwag got a taste of his own medicine in the last over. Good comeback with the direct hit to run out Morkel. But the run rate has become managable now. Delhi need quick wickets.

Two critical wickets in this over has swung the game in Daredevils' favour. They'll need a few sixes from Gony and Badrinath to win from here.

Malik will bowl the critical last over! He should have saved Mcgrath or Asif for the last over. They need 15 to win so it is a big risk.

It might be a big mistake. 11 runs off the first 2 balls. Just 4 runs required off 4 now. Chennai should win it from here.

Brilliant game. The last over had a lot of drama. I was hoping that Delhi would win but Sehwag should have saved a main bowler for the last over. It was a big blunder to give it to a spinner because we saw previously that Gony can slog against slower bowlers.

Looks like the Kolkata vs Bangalore match is finally going to start after a rain delay. The match has been reduced to 16 overs per side.

this is a very important match for both teams. bangalore especially, if they lose someone is going to be fired :laugh:

The top order woes for Kolkata are continuing. They cant get a decent score. The run out of David Hussey was really the big blow. And Ganguly took so many balls and then threw it away with a run out too. I think he needs to revise his T20 strategy.

bangalore are making hard work of this. the spell by ganguly was absolutely brilliant. he got the wicket of dravid too but i think that may actually help bangalore. he was doing nothing out there. bangalore need to get a move on as there are only 5 overs left and required rate is 12.

The bowling and fielding by Kolkata has been brilliant but Bangalore also lacked intent. Did they forget that this is a 16 over game?
50 required of last 4 overs. Someone will have to bowl really badly for Kolkata to lose now.

white and boucher are still out there so anything is possible. but it will be spectacular if they win from here. i think they might target ishant. he was really taken apart by piyush in the last game.

He's done well in the three balls this over. Its ridicilous they have so many wickets in hand but still cant score any runs. I think its a combination of awesome bowling by Kolkata and lack of intent by Bangalore. Even without Jaffer and Kallis this team has played like a test team. I think this whole team is taking the approach of Dravid. He should be removed from captaincy. Kumble is a much better and aggressive captain.
