Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

3 months it is...

Have you thought of any ideas yet?

I like: "Rampant > Boris" (It's simple, yet effective)

However if any ideas come to mind I intend to put them forward... :D

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Well I was thinking "I am completely stupid and do not trust anything I say... ever". :)

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Yeah, it appears that I may have to work a bit harder on this one...

But I have to agree, I tend not to listen to what you say anyway :D

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

As long as it's nothing offensive that would bring my reputation into sub zero levels.

And aren't you glad we've gone from civilised conversation about cricket so just bagging each other at every chance we get?

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Yeah, that civilised conversation stuff is overrated, this is much more fun! But I think that might be a result of our competitiveness, and your misplaced confidence. ;)

Place called Blaina in the Welsh valleys. Tea was little more than a single plate of stale sandwiches. Made even worse by the filling being supermarket own brand cheese slices.

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Quite a few places to be honest. Trowbridge in Somerset always put on a good spread, likewise Frocester in Gloucestershire. Marshfield in Wiltshire is another that sticks in my mind.

Warm food during the early season tends to go down well so anywhere doing that gets a thumbs up.

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

I've had a fair share (of bad spreads), we once had a pack of biscuits. In a paddock without any shade, it was a caravan park called Molesworth in Yea...

Not fun!

Your trying to tell me you played cricket in a caravan park?

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Yeah, one of the clubs play their C-Grade games there. The ground's not actually that bad, however the concrete wicket and bogans drinking on the sidelines certainly add to the atmosphere...

However I have played cricket in an actual paddock before...

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

I bet it would, I have a caravan up at Corowa. I would feel sorry for anyone trying to play a game of cricket in our park. They would cop plenty of bagging 1 would think? You would not wanna be the bloke in the out field when a ball is skyed to you and you drop it.

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Yeah, they weren't too loud as such, it was more that they were drinking out the front of their caravans (some of them by themselves) watching a cricket game as if it was Test Match cricket.

That was my first ever senior game at my club, so that's probably why I remember it so fondly.

And onto the topic of the best spread I've ever had, during my school cricket days, there were some absolute ripper meals. Some schools even whipped up a chicken parma.

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Theres nothing wrong with sitting out the front of your van drinking by your self...Cold Case does it all the time.

Re: Last person to post on this thread wins 7

Ha ha. And you never join him?

Mind you when you've got nothing better to do than drink by yourself on a Saturday...

And what was the best/worst feed you've ever had Wizz?
