MAKE IT FUNNY 2

Here's a different riddle. It's something I bought at Bunnings for about $2 not really sure what it was for.
I eventually worked out a great use for it, and mostly likely its main function.

What is it and/or its purpose?

Not a hand leaf scoop? No too many holes. Nor is it a dog poo scoop.

As it has holes, perhaps needed for separating some material from another.

No, not a pooper scooper but you're warm Craig with

"As it has holes, perhaps needed for separating some material from another."

Here's a big, big hint:

A new riddle:

I have wood but no bark,
leaves that dont fall,
I am made up of branches,
and I come in sizes of all.
I am completely devoured many times,
over and over by a worm of a kind.
If you desire to know the answer of mine,
look for the secret that Ive stored inside.
What am I?

Vince said he has one of these for his cat? 🤔 no idea
It was, for me, to filter out good soil from the leaf litter with my sweepings for a big pot plant I was establishing.
Steve's suggestion of removing cat poo from litter sounds like a great use.
I'll get you one Steve if you'd like?

Is it a living wood?

Paper and pages

Hard one, but: built in bookmark.
Branches suggest libraries.
So, book?
Good deduction Vince. Not book, but Bookstore, library will do nicely. I figured that 'devoured by a worm of a kind', a book worm, may also have twigged with some.

A Christmas funny.

Two weeks before Christmas, four-year-old Christy found out she was allergic to gluten! Christmas Eve was packed with activities and endless lists of things to do. With no time to get Christmas cookies, her mom picked up some gluten-free ones at the store. That way, Christy would be able to have a jolly holiday snack, too.

That night, Christy's father ate one of the leftover Santa cookies. It went down the wrong tube on the last bite, and he found himself coughing up crumbs. Thinking nothing of it, the parents went to bed.

The next morning was full of fun, with a pile of wrapping paper from opening presents. The family was sitting down to breakfast with their new toys when Christy looked at her gluten-free toast with a sad look.

"Mom, I think I should send Santa a sorry note."

"Why?" her mother asked curiously.

"I heard him coughing from the cookies last night!"
