There will be no trip to Werribee, they will win the flag this year and be promoted.
They are a club on the move.

Bomber i see all matches are being played at the higher clubs home ground except for two........

St Marys v Glenroy???? Why isnt is being played HG Smith? Moonee Valley v St Marys in C turf should play at Maribyrnong if Ormond cant be used!???

Is this the influence of the Prez! im sure St Marys wouldnt be happy about this!

I've been told he will play, awesome bowler, he would tear this comp apart.

Kingy, if he came to the MMVCA I would seriously retire or find as much money as I could so he could play with me. Saying he's sharp is an understatement! He could honestly get 60+ in a season without too much trouble, have seen him mess with blokes heads before they even bat and then mess with them when they do come out and bat. How quick would he be, I would think he'd be mid to high 130's.

You think you know who I am? Ha ha I will give you a hint as your as close as FFNB was, not very. Now I have played against you this year, but not in the grade you are thinking of. As for your card game, maybe pm me if you like your cards.

Thats quick! Dont know him but why would he play in our little comp if he is that good? Wouldn't he want to play higher?

Hi mate, played at Melbourne and opened the bowling in the ones, had a knee reconstruction and decided to play at Werribee centrals while recovering but has stayed- I would suggest they have him there as the 'bowling' coach and pay him some dollars. He bowls of 8 or 10 steps and bowls a great line and good length, will rarely pitch short only because he would hurt someone. He nearly broke our opening bats arm one day. He was batting well and he thought he would shake him up a little. He hit him in the arm and let me tell you the rest of the side fell around the thought of him bowling short to them. It was sad to watch really, but he bowled on the stumps and he took 6 fa all bowled.

Re: MMVCA General Cricket Chat

Rooboy i believe st marys nominated that ground as there choice! HG Smith has no rooms for an ''a grade final'' that may be the reason why the change of venue.

Your spot on Guru regarding the amount of wickets he would take. I no cricket is a team sport but he would make ANY club in this comp the flag fav.
He took 9 for in an innings this year.
I dont think he would be in the high 130's but he is sharp when he wants to be.
He works with 2-3 players at centrals I think thats a reason why he stayed, he is a good bloke as well.
Who did you play for b4 Merlo?

He'd be mids when he's having a good- found his second spells to be spot on, I reckon he would have 90% of wickets as bowled or LBW. Flag favourites they would be short priced for the flag. He is the person who can mess with Aberfeldie park if they play the granny. He still gives a few of their blokes nightmares

Played there 3 or 4 years ago, only played 2 games. Had to have an operation after a quick single went wrong.

A bowler like that is just awesome to have in the team - can really lift a team not only with a crucial wicket but also a ripper ball that goes past a batsman's nose. Dont have to hurt someone to make an impact!

I dont think he would be aiming to hurt anyone and I think the fact that he does not ball short often is a sign of that.

Sounds like a ripper bloke and a ripper bowler.

Need more characters like that in our comp.

No doubt an inclusion like that is huge. Lets run a quick quiz:

'what would / should a club pay a bloke like that?'

He would obviously be the ONLY player at the club getting paid as COACH....

Kingy quick single- what's wrong with that sentence. Another example would be Frankston Cultural Centre!:D
