Taken a few days to digest the results from the weekend.
Well done to St Andrews and Glenroy from A Turf.
St Andrews older players love the big stage and stepped up...again and Glenroy are on a real roll.
I believe St Andrews will win this game. Chasing down 230 odd against West Coburgs attack is a very impressive effort and they wont find Glenroys attack any harder. They young bloke Chisolm bowls impeccable line and length but if they are patient and have discipline he wont be taking any 7 fors.
St Andrews need David to step up and contribute. He needs to bat at leats an hour and help make life easier for Jolley, Tapner and co.
You already know Neville will most probably contribute runs and Marinos should just come out and do what he does best, play his shots. He doesnt have the technique to make a 100 or bat all day so he should back himself and hope he gets 30-60. That would be a huge bonus for St Andrews.
My only question marks are over the St Andrews attack. Obviously Scotty bowled a huge amount of overs last week and it will be interesting to see how he pulls up.
Gavin is still an excellent bowler and needs to bowl himself into the ground.
Newton is a strike bowler and has repeatedly got the job done this year. Probabaly will in this game also but he needs to get himself fitter and lose weight so he can bowl 20+overs for his side and not 10-15max a day.
Glenroy have surprised everyone with their sudden rise, perhaps even themselves, but I say this to them. GO FOR IT!! In your hearts a lot of the young guys may think they have years and loads of opportunities to play in flags but they are the hardest thing to win and you may never even play in a granny again. The stars have aligned for you guys this year so come off the ground with no regrets, not soft excuses about how "gee we did well to at least get that far".
To warren and dave good luck, the 2 best sides from last week are there, they deserve to be there and I hope whoever is the best side over the 4 days wins and its not rain that determines the winner.
Just as a final note well done to West Coburgs 1 and 2s. We got beaten in the semis, but this year it was by 2 sides who beat us fair and square on our merits. We played with heart, courage and gave it everything we had unlike other finals series where we just played really badly.

Due to under the table dealings with your guys and the umpires you and your mates were never going to be given out LBW...... How these umpires went home and slept on Sunday night has me wondering.... do they really care about us players. I myself take my cricket fairly serious when out on the field no matter if im fielding or batting.
King Kong you silly little Ape, it would be better for all concerned with the Grand Final if you stayed put in your Palm Tree with all your orifices chock full of Bananas. Now get back to doing what you do best picking your a r s e and swinging from tree to tree.

All I can say is if the wheels have fallen of at St Mary's and they are that bad of a team that they narrowly lost the semi after "surviving on a minefield" and pushing the oppo all the way and after beating both finals sides this year and all 6 teams entered into competition this year made finals then sign me up!
I can't wait until next season, there's a lot of exciting prospects at the club and I'll take Kingy, Shane harris, Brad Hunter, J. Grant, Cashie, Robbo, S. Wellard, Pup, KC, Brownie and even S.Zimmer and anyone else you losers want to bag in my side over any one of you jealous pricks any day!
Just keep shit talking, as you all can see, there is plenty of love at St Mary's and we will back each other any day against a bunch of whimps that hide themselves behind computer screens.

You are right,how good would it be,can only dream.
There seems to be a passion at St Andrews both on and off the field.
The way they use all resources in their team,no matter how an individual is going,it is all about the team.
Dave Jolley,love him or hate him has moulded a group of guys into a team that believes in each other and with this recipe, they are going for three in a row.
We all sat back during the year and referred to them as too old,over the hill and gone.
Not too many of us saying that now and only one more hurdle and we will certainly be eating humble pie.
I would love to be playing with these guys and who knows what will happen in the future.
Newton and Werham,followed by Tapner and the rest of the bowlers are very solid.
Taylor and co are capable of monstrous scores,so all is going well.
Glenroy deserve to be there(lol)and if all goes well could cause an upset.
We will be there next year.

And furthermore why isnt Chippy umpiring the A turf final with Pat. As i have said before on here, Chippy might gives some guys the sh*ts but he is a very very good umpire!

Grand Final already, and ppl thought that us boys at St Andrews were no chance of making it. Well technically i didnt, ive got my own Semi Final to play in the one dayers, but you boys did and thats just TOO GOOD!
Gee ive just spent a little while going through past entries, and boy do you get some knobs in here. Wont mention names but everyone knows who they are. Gd to see Scotty get off and is primed for tommorrow, im pretty confident that we will win out 3rd in a row, then what will the critics be saying.
I do have to mention one paticular canine member on here though, Ppl have the right to there opinions and i agree with some of your comments about certain players from St Andrews, but seriously dude, get yr head out yr a.. and open yr eyes. Good luck to the boys on the wkend, im looking forward to my game, even if no one else gives a shit about us in the North west, im gonna do my best to Bat and Bowl with plenty of VENOM

Regardless he's the best umpire in the comp and does his baggage relate to St Andrews? It's unfortunate the best umpire does get the grand final, hope St Andrews don't complain about the umpiring in this game if they happen to lose it.
