Was disappointing but was such a great game- every time we play each other it's a close battle, haha good to see the rivalry has stuck around the valley
 
Lots of family involvement at BCC so still try to get down there when I can. Realistically it is a pretty friendly rivalry.

What does snowy have to do with it opener. I just felt like shaking the tree to see how many monkeys would fall out. Seems as though there are a few more out there than I thought! I'm loyal I'm passionate. And more often than not we spanked the hdca in comp games- especially the ones I played in. Although when we had the glynns, keays and bubis all in their prime we were never going to lose. We'll see in a few months I guess just how good they all are. As we speak 2 of them going no good..
 
Sounds like fun...

Judging the 3 in 4-5 years is more appropriate I feel.

Surely it's time to put the DVCA v HDCA debate to bed? Fact is, there is no HDCA anymore and the mentioned clubs are now as much DVCA clubs as Eltham, Bundoora etc.

Having new clubs come to the DVCA is great for the comp strengthening and clubs competeing against some fresh faces.

People need to move on as everyone is under the DVCA umbrella now.

Yes, alright Mr mediator. I'll pull up. I just like rattling the cages of a few of the dimwits on this site! All fun and games.. But I love it how u can still get eltham into the conversation! Maybe you can try and get them into the top 4 now??
 
righto back to the cricket enugh of this hdca dvca talk, sounds like a primary school yard fight, who cares!!!!
tips for this weekends games... hopefully mother nature holds and lets everyone play.

Banyule v Rosanna - Would like to think Rosanna should account for Banyule easily and consolidate themselves in the 4 and the team to beat.

Greensborough v Panton Hill - Top 4 clash with Greensborough to triumph. Too much reliance on Motschall and Ford at Panton Hill. Greensy to remain top of Money Shield.

Hurstbridge v Eltham - Game of the round for mine. Flip of the coin came up heads so went for HB. They will only win if they get Minney early do have fire power in Perera and Sadowy. Likewise Eltham only win if they get Bodhisha early but have firepower in Gutto. Great game.

Lower Plenty v Montmorency - Local Derby. Get down and enjoy some beers and hopefully a good game. Bragging rights to go to Lower Plenty for mine. On form Monty but just feel Lower have to click at some stage.

South Morang v Bundoora United - BU's bats will hold the key to this game. Make over 200 and they should win which i think they can. Ross to get amongst it. Watch out for big Smith from Morang who would probably be the sharpest bowler in Money.

Thomastown Utd v Heidelberg - Bergers for mine just feel they will have a lot of believe after there great win last week and should account for our friends over Plenty Rd.

Whittlesea v Lalor Stars - Stars easy for me. Drummo, Kempy & Toppi showing there experience and starting to get amongst it. Are my wildcard for this years premiership.

sorry buddy dont have to read it if you dont want to. just get a little sick of the tripe that gets brought up every now and then. And if im a nerd because im talking about Money Shield games on a Money Shield forum then you may as well call me Stephen Hawking.

Think that Whittlesea and TU could be left behind after this week. Huge game between Morang and BU. Loser is off the pace. Lower struggling to get sides out, lucky their bats are getting going, Boro and Rosanna to kick away.

You didn't notice ECC made 360 last week when Skips only got 30 odd? Should be a great game though.

Great write up of games though. Look forward to them each week now.
 
What the f... Is going on? 1 score above 175 for the weekend and no disrespect to woody and barny at Mont but l.plenty must really be struggling with the ball!! Have blokes forgotten how to bat? Hurstbridge can't be that good if Hogg and Wilson take 8/10 poles.. And if u get on tongs and tell me they are legitimate, seasoned 'a' graders you will never be taken seriously again!

Agree that Lower must be struggling. By the looks of things Mont still had 10 overs to bat! Could have been chasing 350+
