Any penalties dished out ?Was the game abandoned?
One team had a BBL net bowler rock up and play. One team said F that and game was abandoned.Gotcha . Looks like game called off after 9 overs.
I’m sure the umpires handled itI was reliably told that the bully boys at Monty were misbehaving against the younger opponents in banyule.
I’ll give you 2 guesses who they were……

Sound like some muck raking rumour. Best team won and maybe some there was some brotherly banter.I was reliably told that the bully boys at Monty were misbehaving against the younger opponents in banyule.

would be a fair effort from 5th, no faith in the bankers to contend?Plenty coming home with wind in their sails. They’ll be hard to beat & my prediction is they’ll win promotion. Eltham may challenge & have a strong batting lineup however I can’t see anyone beating them.
Money shield will go to Plenty park.
They are actually 3rd on 44 pts as the R13 results haven’t been entered but they won comfortably against Stars. Plenty 6/278 def LS 147.would be a fair effort from 5th, no faith in the bankers to contend?
It’s actually sad to see a highly successful club on its knees in this manor.Anyone think Lower Eltham will come back from Mash ?
Pretty big fall from grace over the past few years. Burgs a chance to retire. Whitch is 53 i think and loves his cricket so he might go on. Can they attract any new players?
Incentivises clubs that put a priority on junior cricket and getting kids involved in the game. Why incentivise clubs that are going to go and splash cash on merchants that are going to stick around for one year. Going to be bloody difficult to see them return to the higher levels of the DVCA.
Also just shows what a debacle the points cap situation is the comp have implemented the last 2 years. A club like lower Eltham without a huge junior club are completely hamstrung in recruiting their way of this. Clubs need to get together on this one and demand the points cap is abolished moving forward, it simply will have a far more negative effect then positive one
To be fair to Lower Eltham, they have to compete with a few other clubs close by for attracting juniors.Incentivises clubs that put a priority on junior cricket and getting kids involved in the game. Agreed, just don’t think the points system not being there would have changed a thingTo be fair to Lower Eltham, they have to compete with a few other clubs close by for attracting juniors.
Losing Mac Stanley week before season started didn't help their cause either.
I dunno if you have looked around lately but the game is dying at grass roots levelIncentivises clubs that put a priority on junior cricket and getting kids involved in the game.
