At the moment, we probably have just enough for a 5th team. However, we don't have enough posting players to support five teams. Roughly we have about 35-40 posters who actively participate in the competition, so a 5th team will split the posting players between five sides instead of four. That is something which is not in our best interests at this point.
Team captains, vice-captains and other players should be focusing on making sure their active players stay active as well as encouraging those who have fallen down a bit in their posting to start picking it up again as the new season is very close to starting. We should also be looking at getting more players to the competition to replace those players on lists who are no longer active. Besides this, a 5th team would create a bye situation and I am not keen on having a non-posting bot team in the competition just to eliminate possible byes. I'm sure many would be against having a also.
If we can get 44 posting players and then some more, perhaps a 5th team should be looked at when that occurs but not before.

The game revolves around a cricket simulator called "Cricsim". It's like a normal game of cricket except the game is played using a randomised simulator.
Basically, two teams of eleven play against each other with each player having a designated role (batter, bowler or 3 types of all-rounder). These roles have pre-set averages which is what their average score would be. In our comp, batters have a batting average of 44 and bowlers have a bowling average of 19 with the all-rounders differing depending on their type.
Each game is then "simmed" (played) and it spits out a result. The game is mostly random, you could score 100 in one game and then be out for a duck the next game. Because their is no actual playing involved, emphasis is placed on posting, people are encouraged to post a lot relating to the game or competition, making their own media articles and also some friendly sledging/banter. People who generally post more will get a game over those who don't post as often.
Anyone can join, it's open to all members of BigCricket. We have around 55 players at the moment and we are looking for more posters to join in order to boost our posting stocks as well to recruit onto all four teams. Fantasy cricket is great fun and also highly enjoyable to be a part of. We're still looking for more players so feel free to sign up and even get your mates to sign up if they're interested.

having a fifth team would be a pain, because of each team having a bye every 3 weeks. However, in establishing a strong competition the retention of player interest is paramount. Have 55 player with 4 teams and 11 players miss out, that's 20% potential attrition. Have 5 teams with a one player change of type between games and you have 55 contented players.
That's a big problem with BFFCL. Players have poor stats, get dropped and lose interest.

What about the listed players who aren't posting at this stage, do they stay on the lists, we should be replacing them with the new players and once the new players have found new homes, we will continue to build up the competition, and when it's clear we have 11 extra players to start a new team then go for it.
However, a rule would have to be introduced so any new players joining the comp automatically go to that club so they have an extra or two and are able to trade during trade periods.

You should find out who's posting on your team and who isn't. You can then recruit players to your list and keep adding until the list is full. Then start delisting players who aren't posting for those ones who will.
