Why not pick McDonald and give him some more exposure at international level, especially if he is going to play the 1st test in South Africa. (i dont think he should)

He isn't good enough is a valid enough reason I would feel

I agree, I dont think he should play in the next test, but the selectors picked him for the tour, and are more then likely to pick for the 1st test. Why not give him more exposure is all im saying.

Re: New Zealand in Australia

Aussies should bring in Siddle for Clarke, move Hopes to opener for todays game

As for the T20 squad, what a joke

Re: New Zealand in Australia

Game looks just about cooked I reckon. Still raining in Brisbane and has been doing so for the last couple of hours. The best we can hope for is a Twenty20 match which must get underway by 6:15pm local time so a little over three hours from now. For that to happen though the rain needs to stop pretty soon and that is looking unlikely as Brisbane have had 21.6mm of rain in the past six hours.

Should this game be abandoned, Australia will retain the Chappell-Hadlee trophy as they are the current holders.

I suppose this only further enforces the belief that Brisbane probably shouldn't get many games at this time of the year due to the increasing threat of rain. What has turned out to be a good series looks like it will be ruined by the weather.

I get home from school turn on Channel 9 and Antiques Roadshow (which is a great show, I'm not complaining about it) is on. Bloody Brisbane weather has ruined my perfectly good day.

Yup, in the exact some position as you Mousey (except I prefer bargain hunters or whatever it is).

Re: New Zealand in Australia

5.58 pm QLD: Not so encouraging news. The toss has been delayed as a result of the drizzle, and the cover is back on the pitch. However, the groundsmen are still around the pitch doing everything they can to get a game going. All the other preparations are underway so not all that bad.
