Heard on good authority that Heidelberg West C.C will be making a big comeback next season, and there’s even talk of them merging with Olympic Colts to form a powerhouse team.

Will be interesting heard that we would of merged this season but some at league headquarters refused to merge unless we had some of shields named in diamond valley
Have also heard this as well mate, also heard that Fiji Victoria and West Preston are looking to merge as well
Also hearing that a few ex socials players that play currently for strathmore are looking to possibly come back too

On good authority that is a straight out lie. On same good authority the Board ( including 5 new members ) are putting in so much effort to rebuild the comp and ensure that it survives . Merger of NMCA and DVCA is inevitable in the next five years and that will be on terms and conditions dictated by Cricket Victoria that are reasonable for both comps .
Always good to have new contributors but so far most of your stories are way off the mark

No they don’t. They are somewhat struggling themselves. Only have 3 regular senior teams.
Let’s be honest most clubs are struggling. That’s both in the NMCA and the DVCA.
There are too many clubs in very close proximity. Especially for HW when they compete with Heid, Bany, Ros and Macleod who are all with a stones throw of each other.
Having juniors is the key and the area I have mentioned, Bany has mastered that. Most other clubs can’t get a team in each age bracket.
