Few questions,
NU have a few very good young footballers how will that effect their season at the business end?
Cameron relegated, how will they handle a straight through at the club? Is it time to re-open talks with YCW? A merge could sustain the growth of cricket in the area for years to come.
Lalor & Donath run away at the top can the Kookies really catch them?

Just read the report(if thats what you call it) on the N.M.C.A web page,
are they playing cricket or doing stand-up comedy, seems like there not good at either.

Can someone please explain a cricketing habit we all do. Why do we bag sides, batters or bowlers when they beat us, by saying they are SH1t or can't play. If they beat you, they are better than you on the day. By the way well batted to Luke Delveane on saturday for YC, they were in trouble and he saved the day.

I think the Kookies are the team to beat, batting depth is superior to every other team in the grade and bowling can be good, just need to work more on areas than pace? The gift of 6 from Colts helps too!

If we win this week, YC has had the wood on us for the last three years. If we break the chain this week it could be enough. Same as last year though everyteam from 7-4 competing for that last spot.

Hill and Tucker firing, Perri almost unstoppable and Bayly hitting the ball as hard as anyone. Could we see a score card of 340 vs 341?

Lets hope one LBW does not decide the GAME! Hey Baz

Set Colts back 4 years that decision, they are still trying to recover?
I think I also set Belly's career back a few years when I gave him out LBW. He was out but I'm sure he'll say he wasn't, AGAIN. Get over it Belly.

I'm with Belly on that one Gabe! You were a trigger finger! Except in a comp game a few years back at Eltham where you turned down 5 shouts on AJ... then as soon as he had a shout from the other end the DVCA ump triggered him. Nepotism is alive and well!

Very few punters or park umpires actually understand the lbw rule. Sad, as it decides way too many games. Reputation usually helps you get the benefit of the doubt, being the batsman has nothing to do with getting the benefit in park cricket!!!

Dickie ("whoever you are"), I only umpired for 2 and half seasons and from my fading memory, i didn't give to many LBWs. That's probably why the ones I have given has caused so much angst.

Bloody DVCA game was few years back (5 years). I can't even remember which players played. All I remember from that day was the Lalor boys blind drunk in the rooms giving everyone poo.

When in doubt.....Not Out. Its simple.

Talent, rather lack there of will hold you back that long!

Just on Talent, what sets apart clubs like Keon Park, Rosebank, Camrea from the rest. We know they have the best talent "money can buy" it's not just that though, that is the jealous response. Most guys have been there for a few years or more, how do they pick the right recruit? How do they keep them? Can you develop your juniors into that team? Is it luck to have quality juniors come through your ranks. Do you need to pay $X per year in inducements to be competitive?

Or if the game is tight and it's a good shout give it out (even if he has to walk back from the northland carpark) - only serious lol.

What is the rule?
1 Pitches outside leg - not out
2 Pitches in line angle/moving away - not out
3 Pitches outside off going to hit - not out?
4 Pitches in line hitting - I know that is out
5 Pitches outside off, not playing a shot and going to hit - OUT (use your bat)
6 On the full in line continues on the trajectory of the ball (straight for spinner) if the angle is ok - out

Is that it OX?
