And who do you play for Mam.

I'm an umpire sometimes and I wouldnt be so foolish as to reveal myself.

I do apologise if people see these posts as personal attacks on the like of Berak and Parks, This certainly isnt personal and they are both good cricketers in their own right.

I used Parks as an example in relation to the lists that were put up.

Straussy if you have some stats to back up his HDCA record, lets have them?

Barry Parks is the most inspiring and best cricketer ive ever played under he played one year of A grade mate JIKA you cant measure his form in one season of A Grade maybe if you look at his HDCA history that will put you back into that box you came out of!

Thanks for your defence Strauss, not required.
A quick couple of points, unfortunately Olympic Colts were relegated early in my career so we played 'B' Grade for the most part, I pretty much wanted to play my career there with friends and family so never really looked at moving to an 'A' side the same as I'd say for Nick Christie and other members of Lalor's(choke) team. As the blokes from Lalor(choke) know once you get relegated it can be hard to get back up. Yes I played half a season of Jika 'A' grade with little success we all have years like that, cricket is lucky to be 10% of my life so I'm sure I'll get over it.
At the moment I agree I'm a hack who is hoping he can push Cobras Cricket Club into Jika Shield and watch them become a force in the League.

good work bazza(choke) lol, it wasnt personal toward you, i plucked your name out of the top 10's to get some comment....it worked..
just curious...how do the lalor boys like the tag Lalor(choke)???
Personally by doing it in a public forum I think it makes you and your club look a bit silly ala mark williams and hawthron re port adelaide.
We all know whats happened to them

Don't hold my club responsible for comments I make on here, I have an ongoing battle with the boys at Lalor(choke) and they are pretty much undefeated at the moment. Christie may have mentioned it once or twice on the weekend, I believe they take it how it is intended a simple wind up that will be brought up should we meet them at the end of the year. They would hate to make it 4 in a row? I'd hate to end up like Hawthorn this year!

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

The quick grade is again close and it seems any team on their day can force a win. Donath would be disappointed from Sunday failing to increase the gap between them and the pack. Kookies lucky due to some bad management from Colts and Cobras again put to the sword by Lalor(choke) and inparticular Christie and Hughes.

Round seven sees some important matches for all in the grade.

I will tip the undermanned Cobras against the Kookies for obvious reasons
Lalor(choke) easily over fairfield with the Dole reserve pitch suiting Christie's style of play.
Colts on their home ground just over Donath who could still be shocked.
YCW over their neighbour Cameron in a spiteful battle of Moore park

very unaceptable those kind of sledges

Lalor to beat fairfield outright..christie field day
colts to beat donath..will be determine to get there points back
YCW to beat cameron..should be a good game though as the hate for each other is massive
Rivergum to beat cobras in a thriller..

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

if the rep sides were to be picked tomorrow, what would be your teams??? ill give it a go. this a team picked on form and NOT REPUTATION

Burland

1.Matt Obrien ALL
2.John Bubis WKBAT
3.David Plumpton (C) ALL
4.Stefan Berak BAT
5.Damian Sampinon ALL
6.Chamil Perera ALL
7.Nirmal Wickramarathna ALL
8.Adrian Mcfedries ALL
9.Jason Lancaster BOWL
10.Anthony Fellows BOWL
11.G Larsen BOWL
12th man Jason Mcgann

Quick

1.Dan Carnall BAT
2.Marty Hopkins ALL
3.Matt Perri ALL
4.Nick Christie ALL
5.Barry Parks (c) ALL
6.Justin Hopkins BAT
7.Phil Smith ALL
8.Rhys Byrne BOWL
9.Leigh Crowther BOWL
10.Brad Winther BOWL
11.Ryan Dunmore BOWL
12th man Kane Massey

these are form based sides..nut we all know these teams will not be picked on form but on reputation
both sides very versatile, the quick side would probably need a keeper but none of the keepers deserve a spot. if they were to choose one it would be prashar or unkles cause they can actually hold a bat

Fair dinkum B-11 have you ever got anything correct?????
Your mail(made up crap) is always wrong.
Thanks for clearing that up Fm.

From now on i think whatever you post Bombers-11 it will be opposite!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

The mail I have is that Cameron Cricket Club are very close to being in serious trouble due to their deplorable onfield behaviour. The umpies are fed up and they could be in for some Sumner Colts type treatment if they don't pull their heads in.
Should be an intersting clash this week between the Moore Park co tenents. My tip is for 2 umpies to be in charge and it won't be YCW that they are there to keep an eye on.
I don't reckon there is any spite or hatred between the clubs but they certainly don't like losing to each other. Most of the blokes playing for each team would have no idea about the history between the clubs, it is just a battle for bragging rights for them.

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

If there is a prize in the Cobras/Rivergum match for who can talk themselves up the most, it would be a photo finish, gee they do a good job of it on this forum

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

Yes Flipper they certainly do. However, they are having some fun that does not cause anyone harm or duress. Unlike those that like to get on and bag clubs and people in a very weak way without ever having the gonads to tell us who they are.
