Oh but we are. One more year with some new names to really dominate the comp then we move on to bigger and better things. Plumpton has nothing on the new signings

Re: NMCA(formerly Jika) '08/'09

Taipans are on the move. The goal has been achieved. Now looking for a greener paddock. Dont have to put up with this low grade comp for to much longer. The constant rule changes are the joke at cricket victoria.I think the forecast in viewbank for today is 24 ha ha:confused:Now Marcon can play finals with his junior program in full swing, which will only cost him 15 large this year instead of 19K like last year. Rosebank will dominate forever which will p*** nmca admin right off. I think Bill is putting his hat in the ring for federal politics and will definetily replace the foreign minister, Trouble is he has lost the confidence of his constituents before he is in power. Never mind he has the full support of the almighty leader of the comp which was no where to be seen during the one day final. Ahhh you gotta luv the powerhouse comp that we play in:p:p

if camrea leave then this comp is in major trouble.
one club and we all know who that is will then dominate for the next 5 to 7 years!

Don't be surprised if both clubs leave. I have heard that they are sick and tired of the amount of crap they BOTH cop.
The NMCA admin will have alot to answer for if this happens.
I for one will be very upset if they go. Without them nmca will be the worst park cricket comp in victoria.

Instead of hanging shit on them and the NMCA admin trying to nail them in every possible way we should be rapt that we get to play against players like: Plumpton, Jesensek, McGann, Bubis, Pogious, Larsen, Sampimon etc etc.

This wont be happening. Nmca admin are going around saying that this is a done deal but the strong clubs in heidelberg dont want a bar of bill or nmca comp. I have it on good authority that hdca are happy in its current format. Why would heidelberg want to come over to nmca anyway after the debacle of this year. This is nmca last opportunity to try and strengthen the comp but if Taipans & Ro$bank leave, the comp is finished & you can thank the admin for that.

lookup the word 'era'...camrea and rosebank this and that....in 10 years they wont be dominating whether they stay or go.....the comp will be better off without these clubs whining all the time, they have dominated on field and acted poorly off it. end of story

According to you the comp will better off. Why? So northcote utd may have a remote chance of actually participating in a grand final. What have Taipans & Ro$bank done that has seen such "poor" behaviour?. At least they dont have junior players reported, or cheat i.e excessive appealing, or knowing full well that players have an illegitimate bowling action and continue to participate. Really looking forward to the mass exodus down at the dung heap next year.

nothcote utd??? what???

why do all our better umpires leave after poor behaviour during the grand finals, (not always from the players)??
who leads the charge when it comes to any comment re poor admin of the comp??
who has pulled the strings for a few years and no longer has control to do what they like???? and therefore non stop complains??

answer : guess which 2 clubs

honestly i hope they stay, just wish they would support the admin and not constantly bag it, they never seem happy unless they run it

great cricket players they have, many flags they have but who honestly respects them who doesn't play there??????????????????????? anyone?

I think the current format might change a bit as the biggest club has gone to the dvca !
How can they be happy with the 11 clubs or what ever they have !

Again we look forward to your running of the competition next year !

The format is changing next year in the HDCA, as Greensborugh have left the comp and are playing in the DVCA next season. That means 1 club if will either have to go down to C grade or DVCA play with 13 teams in their Money Shield.

That would be a nice and even playing field wouldn't it????

One out of two ain't bad!

The HDCA is indeed happy with the current format - even with Greensborough going and may even pull off a couple of big surprises in the off-season.

As for Bill, he left on good terms and would be welcomed back with open arms - by all clubs within our comp. I've taken an interest to what has been said about certain people on this site and from experience, it is far easier to pass judgement when there is no responsibility on your shoulders!

Exactly. I've witnessed some of the clowns that mouth off on this site when they are out and about and pretty much every one of them does not have the nusts to say anything to anyones face. They can post what they like on here without fear of retribution but in the real world they are nobodies who don't have the courage to stand up and do anything worthwhile.

fair call on the tips....mcgann to romp it in with 60 wickets was a standout at camrea, think too many rosebank players sharing votes for 1 of them to win!! dont think i can go past christie for the tollit, and kelly shield from what ive been told about them cinar from bun park higgs from strath or even t.mcdonald from dennis

ill go A Grade medal 1st J.Mcgann by one vote over 2nd D.Sampimon just over M.Sticca. will be 2 votes in it between top 3 i reckon. Roughie will be plumpton, proven vote getter.

B Grade ill go 1st N.Christie in a very tight count. Perri and Hopkins will be right up there with roughie being Barry Parks

C Grade will be higgsyyy, dominated the rep game, made 800 runs i think.[/QUOTE]

Not so sure on Mc Gann winning the medal.

A few factors go against him and my view is this:

He actually only took 47 wickets in the home and away season and i know for a fact that 3 of those were second innings wickets. How many others were second innings?

That's an average of under 4 wickets per game (taking in to account that they only played 13 games - or was it 12?)

He didn't really do much with the bat.

I umpired him a few games this season (app. 5 games) and he was only in the votes once!!

My experience with other umpires (and i haven't umpired with all of them so i'm not tarnishing anyone) is that bowlers usually have to take 5 or more wickets to get the maximum votes. How many 5 wicket hauls did he get?

I am also of the understanding that Christie missed quite a few games in Quick and the game that i umpired down there, he was no where near getting votes.

So for mine, Berak, Jesansek and Mc Gann will take votes from one another as will a few at Rosebank however Sampimon had a very consistant year which may get him over the line.

Just adding my two bob of inpartial reasoning.
