From what i hear it is a done deal. Will be finalised by June!! Two tier comp. the top 4 from both comps to go into the top comp and the bottom to be in the second tier comp????!!!!

Re: North West Cricket Association

Let me just get this right the basis of the merge is as follows - 1. MMVCA wants Junior's, and the NWCA has an extensive Junior set-up. 2. NWCA want's to play on turf? And they currently dont have any turf grounds?

Is there a difference in standard between the NWCA? Obviously its always a little harder to say because 1 Comp is on Turf and the other on Mats. But I have only ever played on Turf in the MMVCA and have no idea about anything about the NWCA - except there is truck loads of cash floating around!!!

I would say considering we absolutely smashed you guys in comp game that standard of nwca is better the same as it is better than the B1 turf.

I am all for it the merger as we will steal any talent in mmvca and make them gladyboys

Shep is stiff, but hasnt had a very good year..he has only made 320 or so, and that included a hundred last week...hes definitely in and around the mix..and i dont count the twos hundred he made, and neither would you if you saw the bowling he was facing...

Paccoe boy shep has now finished the season with 470 runs in Luscombe at 58 will go close to winning comp batting not bad for a ******** year hey

Shep has had a good year but I think he may fall short on batting average Harey is averaging over 100

Tips for this week obviously Paccoe will go through the other game you would have to back Taylors but Gladdy arent out of it.

Wes is the key for them big finals performer

The Lakes v Gladdy is more like Thomas v Shep, who ever gets on top of the other will win the game!

I will tip the lakes in a very close one only because it is at the Lakes!

Re: North West Cricket Association

Hey there guys first time poster here

Now that the important bit of the season is about to start just wanted to hear from everyone who they think mite be the player or players to cause some headaches in the finals.

My selection is by the looks of form is SHEPPARD from gladdy or even KULINOWSKI from roxy

Heard a couple of rumours can anyone tell me if correct or not.
Campbellfield going down from luscombe to stringer, with Donnybrook going back up.(couldnt possibly happen could it,Better of putting taylors 2nds up instead lol)
Kealba will be fighting out with sydenham to get Catania into the bowling ranks for next season
Roxy to get a couple bokes from broadmeadows district

If anyone was going to come up to Luscombe I thought Clarkefield would have to be a chance they are the only team that have a first 11 in Stringer that has made the finals in that grade.

Would the comp consider a bye??????

I hope not

Read when i made the post big fella..

Shep has had a great finish to the year. it looks like that stint in the twos helped him enormously..

But when i said he hadnt had a good year, these were his scores..

82(against campbellfield)
21
28
4
4
21
110*
27

Its just me, but i personally wouldnt count one good score (the 110) and an 82 against possibly the worst ever luscombe attack as a good year..however, having finished with a 100 against taylors, a 70 against sydenham, i would say he has had another good year in the end..

I would say the same for paul tripp..Hes made 470 including the one day final, and id say hes had a poor year..just an opinion big fella!

As for the comp average, does harey qualify..only 321 (but only batted 6 times). Is it 300 or 350?
Be very stiff not to get it as looking here he has 3 dnb's and he bats at 4!!

As for finals predictions, heres hoping paccoe get a win, and il tip taylors just because they have the one bowler on there howler of a pitch who can get the gladdy guns out for relatively cheap..and if shephard, markham and wes dont make at least 150 between them, gladdy cant make 300 and therefore in my book, cant win..in saying that, wes is OVERdue and cammers looks like hes hit form at the right time..

Not sure what qualification is I think its 300, there is no doubt Harey deserves it anyone averaging 100 would be very stiff not to get up

Re: North West Cricket Association

As a new member I would like to reply to some stupid and spiteful comments. I was told recently about this site and it is interesting to say the least. First of all if Paco don't win the flag I will give it away, they will breeze through their semi and if they bat first against talyors in the grand final , they will not lose. And yes Glady can not win , rely too much on too few and their bowling lacks variety, Keatsy can't bowl more than 5 overs and I notice Paul hardly bowls anymore. Looks like his brother was the only one who rated him and now he is gone i think they will weed him out as well. On that, is this site a bashing of Danny Viani ? I know the guy very well and he laughed when i told him about this site, glady can't stop bagging him at any chance. Gave all and now the new guys there they think they know all. Many people know what went on last year and it was a disgrace but that's glady these days. I wonder if Markham gets the sack if they lose on saturday, lucky to make it as well. Under achieved haven't they. They are known as back stabbers who eat their young, club will implode if they lose on saturday. Go paco !!

What a load of crap you are completely off tap bud.

Who from our club bags Danny on here he is a good player but he chose to leave no one forced him.

As for everything else you have written what aload of complete an utter lies sounds to me that you are trying unsettle us of which you have no hope more likely to do the reverse especailly suggesting Johnny will get fired with comments like that im surprised you have enough iq to use a keyboard
Stop making up lies about glady ya tosser.

Re: North West Cricket Association

no need to get angry just stating the obvious. You blokes have performed below par and it was supposed to get better with Danny gone, seems like the unity isn't here after all. Taylors and Paco play as a team , everyone knows that. The comp knows without Johhny and sometimes Shep glady cannot win, no one makes enough runs...... simple.
And as you know, whoever you are , Danny couldn't stay the knives in the back eventually bled him to death. Good luck saturday , better hope Thomas has an off day as you have no hope and with Wes leaving next year, rumour maybe someone else, you guys will struggle.
