Ok, you have done well in the last 5 years or so! but where are you going! by the looks of it you are on the way down with us!!!

At least we play just for a social drink and a quiet choof on a Sat, we only pay the coach unlike your good self and you only won 3 more games than us!!!!!!!

You will loose Wes and I am sure a few more as bigger clubs will be waiving the cash around! it has already started!! How will you replace them? you have the same problem as us, poor ground and clubrooms!!!

If it is time for action, you must rate your chances on Sat!!
Have you beaten the Lakes in the past 2 years in a 2 day game? Looking through results vault you have had your pants pulled down by them every time!!!!

Ok maybe Markam might not be scared but you did not say anything about Wes and Dervis!!!

Good call there gullyrat,have to agree with u on that ,your club mite not set the world on fire but they enjoy it for the social side and the mateship where as i think half of gladdy are mates and the other half are just collecting pay checks.I think there is too much expectation on Thomas to win the game for the lakes this week so im guna tip gladdy to get home pretty easliy and im tipping roxy to cause a massive upset against pacco.Pacco are a really good side as we know but dont under estimate roxy,theyve got there spot as as it your always told when it comes to finals (ANYTHING CAN HAPPENS IT FINALS)

First , lets clarify few matters re. danny viani . its obvious danny has been networking beautifully and giving every man and his dog around the traps “ his “ version of events as to what transpired last season . unfortunately when the iq count is single figures during these discussions , events are distorted to a large degree .

First , danny resigned from his position as captain coach . no one forced his hand . it was danny who had difficulty embracing the new culture within the club .

It was danny who had difficulty mixing with new / old / young players within the group ..the club was’nt about individuals anymore , unlike the previous 20 years . the new admin / coaching staff are trying to create a professional culture that goes further than just playing cricket .

The so called “ new guys “ that apparently know everything , were’nt the problem !!!

It unfortunate that a long term player with the club and someone who say’s he’s all for the club could’nt embrace these winds of change !!



Next , the “ under achievers “ tag !!

3 seasons , 1 premiership , runner’s up , in finals again , 3 one day premierships in row !!

Not bad for a club that had’nt won a final in 10 years !!



Final , to tip rat , loins , pacoboy ……comedy relief is healthy . enjoy your banter . we at gladdy enjoy the “ under dog “ tag . talk is cheap , actions speak louder than words .

Its funny ….none of the experts on this sight rate gladdy , but every team in the 4 was praying on the weekend we would’nt make the finals …

Not sure i ever bagged gladdy mate..having beaten us a fair few times over the last couple of years, not sure why i would..all i said was that i thought taylors would win the semi, as thomas is a gun bowler, and if gladdy's big 4 in wes, dervs, johnny and shep dont make any, im not sure you guys will make enough to beat taylors..and looking to the most recent of games, it seems im right most of the time..

Good to see roxy have a full team back in..they are a very handy side, that are very even across the board, and like most teams, if the big guns fire, they'll be a huge chance..There only problem as far as im concerned is they dont have a 2nd opening bat, but if people step up and perform anything can happen..Although i wouldnt read to much into the riotto and russell tons, not saying they didnt bat well, but once your past barney its cash in time vs campbellfield...

should be a good one this week roxy vs pacco..I hope we get home obviously, and will therefore tip us..if the openers at roxy dont get wickets, and tripp and hare come in at 2/100, theres not a team out there who would fancy there chances..but of course il back my side in..

As for you lion, who do you support, one inute your on the lakes, now your on our side..im confused, hope your with us though!!!!

I hate to repeat myself as I have already stated this in the past and it seems to be continually bought up by people who dont read the forum. Glady pay 2 players and 2 players only 1 is the coach and 1 is the assistant that is it, everyone else is there because they have been at the club since they were young or because they came across to play with their mates i.e Derv

Glady have only had one function this season where the rooms werent chockers, so I dont get where you say people only come for cash and dont care about the club, I think this is another case of people assuming what goes on rather than actually knowing.

That would be like me saying a function at the gully involves 8 guys watching stick flicks passing the bong an arguing over who is going to drive to Maccas.
Im not going to say that but really am I that far off the money.

I'm with you guys but after reading about the tip rats bonging on I might have to join them next year. Looks like Gladyboy has a thing for the gully rat. No need for personal attacks, really boys. Wonder if all the usual suspects will go out this friday or saturday or has there been a ban by their captains. I will be out with a few friday but can't say who ....... can't get them into trouble. Looks like a blue and yellow grand final coming up.

Gultyrat………..the northwest Taliban was to retire after only one entry to this site , but after reading the utter nonsense written by your good self I feal obliged to reply and once again clarify few matters .

I’m actually staggered that someone actually uses a computer in tip rat country..word was they only recently aquired running water and electricity .!!

The tip rats have come a long way …progressed from crayons to pc’s ..thats progress !!!



Back to the real issues …..” UNITY “ within the club . that’s not bad coming from a club of the calibre of Kealba , or is that the united nations ..never seen a team wear 8 different coloured caps on the field !

Maybe for next season a “ gun metal beige “ cap with a bong as a logo !!!



Is this the same team where the captain was abused when he unfortunately ran out one of his batsman during a game against that rabble gladdy ??? was’nt present , got some very reliable mail from a good source !



And not to mention the happy team out at taylers ..their captain / coach very well liked from what I hear around the traps !!

All clubs the same , with similar issues . only exception paco , the family club ..only question mark , the likes of pav …profile of a serial killer ??





As for gladdy , speaking from the outer ( I’m not a player ) , they might have some issues as all clubs do and unfortunately they are magnified 10 fold by ignorant , jealous morons within the competition ..i think they call it “ tall poppy syndrome “ in this country . ..unfortunately the negative aspect of success .!!



And I must support “ gladyboy “ ..i was present at one club function earlier in the season and the rooms were jam packed as has been the case at all functions during the season , and not to mention good numbers after training each week and game day ..

Include the work to the rooms with photo’s / trophy cabinet illustrating the clubs history , new training facility and plenty of work on the agenda during the off-season …..gladdy are’nt going to bad , and are miles in front of most clubs !



That’s enough from the north west Taliban , back to Afghanistan to live the life of a simple peasant who does part time work with osama bin ladin !!!

Getting all worked up are we boyz,sounds like its guna be a very spiteful finals series against gladdy.Really who cares what danny is doing hes left and trying to help out kealba which is a brave move,its finals time and all everyone seems to care about is wat viani is doing or why he left.
Is there guna be any in's or out's in any of the finals teams this year,Always sumone gets dropped out of the team that has played all of the season or majority,whose guna be the unlucky one.

As a gladdy old boy , yes old boy who has played in this comp and watched for over 30 years your comments re. the current group and the old are light years of the mark , fellow arab !!



Some damming facts to negate your ludicrous comments –



Current team achievments in last cpl years –

- 390 in one day game ( league record )

- 500 plus in last years final ( league record )

- Won first final in over 10 years 2006 / premiers

- Won 3 consecutive one day titles



Just a cpl stats , even though its difficult to judge teams from different generations , they are impressive ..and I have spoken to many ex players about the current and old and many if not all say the current team is better than any before by miles .



So noodle be gracious and give the gladdy boys some credit , there not a bad team and like other 3 teams in finals are a chance . I suggest you get stuck into the hookra , smoke some hash and ease those tensions . to much tension before .!!!

Just remember from a source who is still at the club, better find him Rohan he might be the mole, they wanted to sack shep last year and didn't have the balls and all the egos couldn't accept danny as captain. That's the story in a nut shell. Rumour has it they wanted to sack Shep again this year but didn't have the balls again. Now don't attack me for this , it is coming from Glady and it's loud and clear. I also agree who cares about what danny is doing , get over it bitter people from glady and move on. Everyone bags thomas and rightly so , but he is the best player in the comp ...easily. You tell me you guys wouldn't have him ? We would and so would everyone else. That's why they win the flag.
