Aussiefan & Wiseman and anyone else quoting the fixtures, it's obvious you are all not so wise or you would know the answers to most of your posts. Do you have a pres or sec at your club, ask him then. The fixtures aren't done because some of the lazy clubs not putting their team entries in. Is your club one of them? Pretty hard to do a fixture without the clubs letting anyone know if they are putting a team or teams in. See just ask your club and you will find the answers.

Mitch so sorry for your loss, spoke to alot of the guys last night and obviously it's hit everyone hard, so young. Sympathy to you Christian, bpcc and the family do it for him this year he'll be proud to know your'e using his bat.good luck Mitch

Oldman65 sure 65 is not your age you sound like it. A has been. All it takes is for people to who are involved in cricket clubs to put their hand up and do, do, do instead of whinge, whinge, whinge. I put my hand up and went on the senior committee and maybe you should too. Oh BTW it's not for seniors as in 65 year olds LOL although anyone is welcome:D

You are assuming I am not on the commitee at my club

What post of mine are you referring to with these comments, you seem to know everything about this comp why is it you just now found out about a forum that has been running for 2 years that talks only about the NWCA.

As far as fixtures go I am pretty sure that everyone knows who is playing in Luscombe and to a lesser extent Stringer i think they are the fixtures that people want to see you never see Clissold Shield talked about on this forum

Re: North West Cricket Association

Stormer did not attend training tonight, apparently due to a fishing trip, he was seen down at altona connecting a boat to his car at around 8pm tonight. the sydenham hillside board has just finished meeting, and i can confirm that stormer will be looking for a new place to amass 80 runs this year

Most players don't realise the value in playing on Sundays. You get extra revenue from grog and food sales, more spectators cos they're not playing themselves and the whole family can spend the day together . Only neg is if the wife doesn't like cricket :D
Times change and cricket in all associations is no longer just a Saturday sport, your club is one of many who play on Sundays and reap the rewards.:)

Half agree 12th Man.
But i no our club has been pushing for under 12s to play friday night's for a few years because there are not enough ground's available.

Our under 12s played home games last year on Friday night's and it worked really well, i no the parents were more happy with friday nights than Sundays.

Is there any reason why all under 12's cannot play Friday nights?

Hey guys

I play in the diamond valley comp all our under 12s are played on a friday nite. This works very well for us we all so run our milo have a go program on a friday nite as well so all the young cricketers get to see 1st hand what they are learning to play. We try to finish them at the same time so all the kids walk of the ground at the same time, we have the barbys going all the kids get a snag and a drink and the rooms are full with the mums and dads having a few drinks its a good way to get more people involed in your club.

Re: North West Cricket Association

Aussie & wise man you make a fair point. I was assuming you still played due to your previous comments and the people you are speaking about. If your not playing well good on you for still being involved. Clubs need past players and members around their clubs, thats what helps them to survive. So if what you are saying is correct ,my mistake and I commend you for being loyal to your clubs after finishing your playing careers.

As for the fixtures it doesn't matter what grades your asking about whether it's Luscombe or One Day Reds no fixtures can be done for any club if the paperwork isn't done. Its not what people say it's how they say it and from the post about the fixtures it come across as though you where trying to blame people for not having done the fixtures. That's when I commented on that cos one of my mates actually helps do them.

The reason I haven't been hear before until this month is because after being involved and playing cricket for more than 40 years I rather deal in facts than rumour and inuendo as alot of people have posted on this forum. Not just here but also the mmvcu, vtca and other associations. Yeah a forum is to ask questions and find answers but in saying that if you go back to the start of this site and read the comments not just from here you'll see how much of what people say is absolute crap. I kept hearing about this site and all the stuff being said so after 2 years thought OK I'll give in and take a look.

Was I surprised NOPE there are people on here who do ask and make some very good points but their are others who just assume and go on and make up stuff as they go along.Or just bag the crap out people to stir up trouble.

I tell ya what though it's interesting to say the least:D

Have a listen to the twin heads at glady, for the last 2 years they have been trying to find an excuse to get rid of shep but haven't had the balls to do so. Now he is the one of the best players in the comp. Everyone knows he ripped off the club and that's the only reason he played last year, truth is he has a bad name around the traps and other comps don't want him. Yes he is a gun bat but all I hear is how much he stuffs up and Johnny would love to get rid of him but they know if they do they will slip down the ladder. So they just continue to backstab him and then pat him on the back. :pI wonder how glady are travelling.........that's right they don't have a team....surprise , surprise.

There is only one thing worse than getting to cocky shooting your mouth off and thats writing it down sop it can come back and bite you on the arse.

Bad luck on the weekends result

um ok lets see, lakes didnt make finals last season, so there goes that idea
and sorry to upset but the cricket clubs success (income) does not effect the footy club, so there isnt any cash comming in for the footy players.

what we should all focus on is the success of roxi and sydenham's seniors, both had very outstanding seasons

try bigfooty.com.au

Ur arguments mite make more sence there!!

KOTJ id have 2 agree on u with this 1... There are only 9 people that play seniors both footy and cricket for Syd Hill....in the last game this season there against pacco there was 6 in the 1s....2 1st XI players, 3 2nd XI and 1 4/5th XI player....I recon the lakes would have less!!!

Two totally different groups of people....Two totally different cultures

I cant see how you an compare the local footy clubs and cricket clubs...

But in saying that....Stuff em!!! they belong in B grade!!!
