Would have to agree with the whole umpire thing.

Its not they are bad, but generally inconsistant, fair to say though how many decisions are given when your not out and have been given!!....and then the following week you smash it to the keeper and your not out!........funny game cricket.....percentages = you get yourself out more than a good ball does, and you'll prob have 50/50 in good and bad decisions for the year!!

By the way not trying to push the issue aside, but dont be stressing too much, it will even out!

Happy Hitting

Fair Point V Line, but when the inconsistencies keep flowing one way then it becomes very frustrating!!!

i also want to congatulate adrian russell on a fantastic return. not many blokes out there that can return for there first game of the season and make 165 runs.lets just say that there is only 1 adrian russell , only 1 adrian russell.

Very well done to Adrian, must admit very happy to hear that he is unavailable for next round!!:)

What makes Simon Fenn and Tolli the worst? Poor decisions, lack of understanding the game, funny personalities or something else?

I take umbrage to this. Simon Fenn (AKA The Shark) is a great umpire bro. There is nothing better than hearing "That's not out bro" when you are on strike.

Re: North West Cricket Association

Worst umpire and in a strange way also the best for a laugh Peter Faull was around a few years back didnt mind a drink from the flask while standing at square leg, have heard some very funny stories about him teasing players as he gives them out while half cut.

Gladdy Boy your very quiet this week. Bit nervous after the weekends play?
Personally I think your still very much in the game, especially considering the Regouski is already out.
I heard a few of the Kealba boys saying they were lucky to be in the position they are in with gladdy grassing a few chances and a caught behind not given.

Should be an interesting day at Gladdy on Saturday

Short answer NO

Peter Faull use to live up my way (Donnybrook). I think he only travelled to Donnybrook and Craigieburn to umpire. Always good to see him out the front of his house in his umpiring gear with a long neck.
To many stories to tell.

kealba all out for 96 good to get a game over by 2 o clock to watch the races ;)

I was a bit concerned during the week being a bowler down but only 2 bowlers required so worked out well

kealba hav not improved the slightest under danny, have possibly gone backwards. will not win 3 games for the season.
jaz cat has lost alot of pace and is no longer the bowler he once was

rogo very lucky innings didnt deserve to make as much as he did, but in saying that he is the only batter they have.

any1 no who the cyclone unleashed on yesterday??

Hard to argue

Re: North West Cricket Association

Looking back now to page 173, when i gave my tips...seems i wasnt far away.

only 2 out of 4 tips write but 163 to Russel (time at the crease) and syd/hill able to keep Pacco to bout 200, the results were probably justified after the 1st day of cricket.

Seemingly disapointing for KGG, like ive said, to much relience on Rogo, not pickin on Danny Viani, but for mine he needs to bat up the order (3,4 or 5). Lead more from the front, only an opinion, he might look to this week back to back one dayers, give himself and his team half a chance at a win or 2.

syd/hill appear to struggle to chace down pacco's score. for mine the low scores could have a link to the outfield and the pitch (both slow).

TL and GP too strong, huge bowling effort by Thomas and Lee, although Thomas is probably up to it, anyone think, bowling wise, HE NEEDS TO TAKE WICKETS?? for TL to win games......Last week 7or8 and this week 5.... fingers crossed he doesnt break down!

Re: North West Cricket Association

My opinion on the season so far

Gladstone Park- seem to have improved picking up some young quicks and dropping some older players who slow them down.

Taylors Lakes- still the ones to beat despite the hiccup this weekend should be very interesting against Gladdy

Pascoe Vale- Making up the numbers in my opinion and will fall away held on for the last few years but well past their best

Sydneham Hillside-on the rise will make finals this year but lose at semi stage a team to beat in the years to come.

Roxburgh park- One man team cant play without Adrian even though Killa is their best player seems they rely on his confidence and bravado to win games

Kealba Green Gully- By far the worst side in it only one player in Rogowski would get a game in Taylors or Gladdys teams the rest cant play. Danny in answer to your question V Line only bats high against shit attacks hides against good sides in the hope of getting not outs.

Buckely Park-really needed to win on the weekend but have played all the good sides still could mix it come finals with many stars yet to fire.

Campbellfield- Seems they play their best against the best tested both Taylors, Paccoe and Gladdy but cant put away the lesser teams cant be far away from winning a game and have improved with out doubt.

Are you for real? W. Carton. How did you fit him into the 11. He hasn't done a thing yet. I think your picking a name rather than a player.
Who is your second opening bat? and how didn't the leading wicket taker (Fackler) or run scorer (Erdman) get a mention? Both much better players than W. Carton.
That's my opinion

Re: North West Cricket Association

my 11

Telford
Beniwal (Best open bats in comp) Could argue Camalliri as well
Shep
Markam ..GP (best two bats in comp)
Russel
Hackney (Not keeper if Camilari is in the team, still play him as a bat)
P.Tripp (all rounder)
Johnny K (good bat, handy spin)
Thomas (handy all round cricketer, open bowl)
Hassan (Open Bowl)
Pitts (havent seen much but results and word of mouth gets him a game)

Guys that miss
Hare, B Barron, Wilson, Rogo, Catania, Erdman, Halseloff, Macca, Hayes, S.Lee & any1 from GP and TL :D:D:D

Just a bit of fun!!

Good balanced team VLine. Agree with all selections. I might replace Hassan with Fackler. 14 wickets at 10 but could go either way. Both very good bowlers and having excellent seasons so far.

Re: North West Cricket Association

If you are going to pick the side based on this year and this year only for me its easy.

Telford -best opener in the comp
Camilleri -on form so far this year has Hackneys measure
Russell -one hit but one dam good hit
Markham GP- there are 2 Johnny Markhams they are both good this ones just better
Erdman- leading runscorer along with Russ
Shephard- both bat and ball best in comp IMO
Fackler-leading wicket taker in comp at and average of 10
Tripp-both bat and ball deserves his spot
Thomas- continues to take wickets
Pitts- Has an average of 13 on our 50cent piece anyone who has faced him care to disagree?
Hassan- is definetly getting tounges wagging after a few big weeks.

I know I look biased with 6 glady players but the stats so far warrant their selection
