you r getting ahead of yourself hackney making a 1000 runs on hard wickets.

He's made runs against the best the Vic Metro comps have to offer on turf. Now hes on hard wickets and if he is in form good luck playing him.

From your Posts I gather

1. You are W.Hackney and you love yourself & talking about yourself in the third person or.............
2. you are in love with this bloke and are a Knob Gobbler

Either way get a grip, W.Hackney is a hack playing in a hack competition

That's not sledging, I can start if you want though. Sounds like I hit a nerve there!!!!
Yep, I'm no good at cricket, only reason I play is to keep off the p*ss till 6pm Saturdays.
On the other hand you sound like a real champion cricketer, maybe you can give all the readers some tips

Thanks for the tip, I suggest you let go of the handle now champ, sounding like you're starting to get a bit excited!

Can Sydenham knock off Gladdy this week?

Re: North West Cricket Association

Geez I love this comp 4 or 5 players you say..... we havent got that sort of coin my friend. You want the truth and this is no b/s we pay the coach and one other who is an asistant that it is it as god is my witness and believe me I know who gets paid what and how much this is not idle speculation.

As for your poem very humourous but leave Danny alone he has another solid season 350 runs even if 200 of them were against Campbellfield its still 350 more than most blokes.

And Keatsy bowls pies you say I agree with the fat and ugly bit (yet he still dominates at Osullis god only knows how) ripped your top order apart so he must be doing something right or is it that the boys at Buckley are a bit of no good. Wont matter next year Danny will sure up your top order......

Hackney is the best keeper bat in the comp by a fair bit only Gav and Cammers come close but 350 is a fair way short of 1000 mate.

Thats true. It was a bit of an overstatement. I suppose if he played every game (dont think he has  ) and played all finals he might have got close.

What sort of game does Cameron Hare play? A stroke maker or a bit of a worker?

He has 10 hits for 466 runs a fair year I reckon, anyone who scores over 400 runs is a gun bat in my book.

Harey plays his shots but his ego is massive!!!!

Do you even now who harey is mate?
If you had to describe him as a bat you would say a worker, never known him as a stroke maker!!!

Has before batted 90 overs for 80!!!! Was in a GF that we won though@|

As for the ego part, the boy has confidence for sure..but anyone who is captaining one of the better sides in the league at age 20 has to have a bit of confidence in order to lead the club..

As for hackney, a very very good bat..whether oh no ball is hackney or not is beside the point, i would put him up there in the best bats in the comp along with markham (gp), haselhoff, hare, lee, tripp and telford..With honorable mentions to dervs, shep, mills and singh..

Re: North West Cricket Association

As for the best team in the comp, i would think a team of;

Telford
Hare
Markham(gp)
Tripp.P
Hackney
Haselhoff
Shepherd
Lee
Thomas
Barron
Keates

Wouldnt lose many games..This is not based on form this year, rather just my thoughts on the best side...

And for the blokes who dont have tripp and hare in their best side, tripp has 300 and 15+ wickets, on top of 550 and 20+ last year, and hare has batted 6 times for 321 runs at 107!

Ok Hare has had a good year no questioning that but

Telford and Singh are both averaging low 20's Wes has been a great bat for along time but a preimer bat in the comp makes more than 230 runs in a season. Mills is in a similar boat as well

Trust me I'm not Hackney. Played at his former club and he was our best player in the last few years. He's not the type of bloke to talk himself up.. from a cricket field to a bar to a forum.

And yeah Harey hasn't changed then when I saw him play juniors he used to be a worker with good concentration. Very good leader.

Singh is quality. In 5 years he will be in the best NWCA side.

I did say not based on form wiseman, but anyway..

Telford has had a bad year, so on form, you could take him out..
Mills hasnt had a bad year..You will find he has played the whole year on one knee, and with the side he has, a lot of the time the load falls on gav, hass and him so he cannot bat the way he may want to...He also has missed a couple of games..

As for singh, he came back mid season after losing interest, and thus wasnt training, which is reflected in his scores.. And dont worry about in 5 years, he is in and around the best NWCA side right now..

So, if picking a team on this years form alone, my team would be....

I Lynch
C.Hare (Aware he hasnt been opening this year but a huge lack of good openers in the comp!!!)
J Markham (gp)
W.Hackney
S.Lee
S.Cummings
P. Tripp/D.Viani/Hass/Johnny Kulikowski (was undecided on this one)
P.Thomas
B.Barron
D.Tripp( Before you accuse of paccoe bias, he has 26 wickets for the year at 15,second only to thomas i think?)
M Blum

Is that side better based on form alone wiseman?

No shep what happened there he was in your original side he has hit 400 plus a ton in the magoos and he has missed 2 games. Just to top it off he didnt get a bowl til after xmas due to injury and has since taken 8 wickets, otherwise your side looks ok for mine.

Re: North West Cricket Association

Shep is stiff, but hasnt had a very good year..he has only made 320 or so, and that included a hundred last week...hes definitely in and around the mix..and i dont count the twos hundred he made, and neither would you if you saw the bowling he was facing...
