Shep is stiff, but hasnt had a very good year..he has only made 320 or so, and that included a hundred last week...hes definitely in and around the mix..and i dont count the twos hundred he made, and neither would you if you saw the bowling he was facing...

Lets not forget that ton was against Taylors

397 runs at 49 but whose counting not including the twos hundred and the fact that his missed 2 games.

From a gladyboys perspective he is the best bat on his day at our club and i know that johnny is widely accepted as the best bat in the comp but on a Saturday afternoon our opponents cheers are alot louder when Shep is sent packing.

I did say not based on form wiseman, but anyway..

Telford has had a bad year, so on form, you could take him out..
Mills hasnt had a bad year..You will find he has played the whole year on one knee, and with the side he has, a lot of the time the load falls on gav, hass and him so he cannot bat the way he may want to...He also has missed a couple of games..

As for singh, he came back mid season after losing interest, and thus wasnt training, which is reflected in his scores.. And dont worry about in 5 years, he is in and around the best NWCA side right now..

So, if picking a team on this years form alone, my team would be....

I Lynch
C.Hare (Aware he hasnt been opening this year but a huge lack of good openers in the comp!!!)
J Markham (gp)
W.Hackney
S.Lee
S.Cummings
P. Tripp/D.Viani/Hass/Johnny Kulikowski (was undecided on this one)
P.Thomas
B.Barron
D.Tripp( Before you accuse of paccoe bias, he has 26 wickets for the year at 15,second only to thomas i think?)
M Blum

Is that side better based on form alone wiseman?

how does shane lee get a game on form, he has only made one fifty 4 the year, there r other players in front of him.

Re: North West Cricket Association

not attacking d.viani....

but.....

whoever has him in their best side must be delirious!!!

has made 350 for the year (200 against campbellfield who my nana bless her heart, would make runs against) and tacken ************ all wickets.

bats wherever he wants....sometime3 sometimes 6 depending on how scary the situation is to him
bowls and takes tail end wickets....... very smart cricketer....

ill give you the best side in the comp.......

batting order

singh......i rate
hare......very good player young cameron
markham......captain....and the best bat in comp.....easy
hackney......keeper...gun bat
shephard......best player in comp....just ahead of thomas
derv.....very good player...destructive on his day
p.tripp..... all rounder
thomas......gun bowler...bats solid
shore........will raise eyebrows.... but the big boy a good player
b.barron....bowls good....gives the tail some more hitting power
d.tripp....bowls truckloads of overs....fit as

thats it. any arguements speak to my lawyers

Biased I know but gee Paul Cammers has to go close to making side as keeper has made 280 runs and had 31 dismissals was awesome behind the stumps yesterday. That is 10 dismisals more than any other keeper in the comp. For the record Hackney has 8 for the year.

Re: North West Cricket Association

Interesting question for me here boys, wouldnt mind some feedback..the boys were talking about PVCCC's best club batsmen on saturday night, was wondering what people think..we had it narrowed down to, in no specific order;

P.Tripp
C.Hare
S.Cummings
G.Carbis
S.Gick

As our best 5..what do people think..who is number 1..Be interesting to see what people around the competition think..

Also, good performance by PVCCC ones on the weekend..Ominous signs given brother of victorian player (Clinton Mckay) Scott Mckay picked up another bag of wickets, and is bowling sensationally..Lets hope for our sake that our bowlers fine form continues!

Geez must've been a big Saturday night down at the Swim Centre.
What wankers, sitting around, Paul's the best, No Cameron's the best, how about Hairy Scotty Cummings the best!!! Doesn't surprise that would be a weekly occurance down there, sitting around patting each other on the back saying how good you's are?
Real interesting question PaccoBoy(Or should I say Paccoeb*tch?)

Settle down big fella..
Was just a question..
Thought with all this talk about best sides it might be valid, no need to get so annoyed..and why would pascoe vale be talking up about how good they are, theyve lost 4 games..not exactly world beaters..you may have us confused with taylors lakes..

Speaking of, heard the lone ranger s.lee made a stack on the weekend, which is good news for lakes..someone told me 150? Out of 300 that is a great performance..shame there werent other fellas out there making runs with him..

And what happened at gladdy..heard sydenham was 6 for 60, did i hear correctly, might end up costing you finals if you cant (which you still should) chase down the 225! Who made the runs for the storm?

Had them 6/80

Wilson and Hackney both made blobs Lindsay made 78 batted well last wicket partnership of 70 killed us Candy and Seitz 33 and 22 respectively didnt give us a chance.
They did well to get 224 very defendable but i know id be rain dancing if i was in there shoes come Friday night

Re: North West Cricket Association

Sounds to me Gladyboy that you let the game slip away!!!!!!!

Wouldnt it be terrible if the gladdy bigheads missed the finals, not a favourable weather forecast for you blokes either raining for 4 days that 225 will be worth 280

Personally I will be pissing myself so will Danny

Hey Wiseman

I'm with u the bigheads need 2 come back a peg or 2, however have u seen the ground at sydenham, it has not got a blade of grass on it. 225 is more like 160, sydenham need it 2 rain all day.

Gladyboy

Cammers not in the same class as hackney with the bat, hackney gets pick first every time

Yeah I hear ya bigboy with the bat their is no comparison but Cammers would be a show if your were picking the keeper purely on keeping ability. Bit like Gilchrist vs Berry.

Dont worry about rain hail or shine lads if we are good enough we will make the runs on Saturday no excuses from us.If we dont then lets it face it we dont deserve to be there.

Would like to hear your tips on this game will we be good enough?????????????

Gladyboy,
Shep is a gun, im sure you are glad hes on your team and not against you. Are you guys in the finals? i can tell you when he was in Jika one year his team in A grade made the finals and they where bowled out for 330 Shep or Shreky as you call him only hit a casual 278, so if you are in the finals other teams should be wary of him because i have said he is a GUN

We need to win Saturday to make it chasing 224

He is a gun I rate him as the best in the comp but i get to see his freakish antics every week on the track so Im biased. When he turns up to play he cannot be beaten. Seems to be really switched since Christmas has made 240 from 3 hits and taken 12 wickets. The 100 he made against Taylors last game was the best I have ever seen, would be curious to see what the Taylors boys thought?

Couldnt agree more Pacoe would have to be flag favourites as lets face it they are more less already taking part in the big one and capable of knocking off anyone on their day my odds

Pacoe 3-1

Taylors 5-1

Glady 7-1

They are the only 3 sides that can win

And Roxy no chance...???? Havent they beaten everyone accept for Taylors this years.... they Pacco and Gladdy a thumping???? THey have been hit by a few injuries since Xmas.... if they field there proper team they will be very competitive!!!

Only Harey and the paparrazzi (Gick) could be counted as batsmen!!!! Forget the others!!!!
