Reputation has never won anyone a flag.!
Last years runs wont win you a flag this year!
its about time the comp picked players on form and not reputation it pisses me off that year in and year out the comp or capt has picked on what players did last year or what their about to do.
trust me there are a lot more good cricketers in this comp than the usual blokes who get a game year in and year out.

If you are going to pick the side based on this year and this year only for me its easy.

Telford -best opener in the comp
Camilleri -on form so far this year has Hackneys measure
Russell -one hit but one dam good hit
Markham GP- there are 2 Johnny Markhams they are both good this ones just better
Erdman- leading runscorer along with Russ
Shephard- both bat and ball best in comp IMO
Fackler-leading wicket taker in comp at and average of 10
Tripp-both bat and ball deserves his spot
Thomas- continues to take wickets
Pitts- Has an average of 13 on our 50cent piece anyone who has faced him care to disagree?
Hassan- is definetly getting tounges wagging after a few big weeks.

I know I look biased with 6 glady players but the stats so far warrant their selection

your on the money glady boy only one player we have different i had mociack in front of wes only cause wes is a bit quiet by his standards and mociack has an average of over 50 in 3 hits but i am sure wes will come good these people just get on here and put there mates in in stead of going with in form players

Re: North West Cricket Association

just a reminder oldman we have only played 4 rounds....
it only takes the players with the reputations to make a score or take wickets this weekend and they are starting to live up to it...
a couple bad decisions, dropped catches etc etc doesnt show on the scoreboard!!

totally agree Stormer68 but the original comment made was "up till rd 4"
dont agree with dropped cathces bad decisions as all players get them.
if anything the blokes with the so called reputations get more of the good decisions than the bad.

Cutajar - Came to the club with Viani, Viani left, Cutajar stayed
S Lee - Taylors Lakes junior, came back to play with his brothers
Markham - Moved to the area, played for the club closest to home
Thomas - Moved to the area, Markham's brother in law
McCaffrey - Mate of S Lee
Arnold - Taylors Lakes junior
Verdoorn - Taylors Lakes Junior
Haigh - Taylors Lakes junior
Just - Taylors Lakes for 15 years
McMullin - Taylors Lakes junior
A Lee - Taylors Lakes junior
L Harrison - Taylors Lakes junior

Bought a Premiership, please.
There are four players in our last two Premiership sides that didn't play junior cricket at the club and one of those (Justy) has been through many more bad years than good.

All we've done is put in place a successful junior program, keep most of them, put a good coaching program in place and managed our funds.

All clubs have that opportunity, have a crack.

im pretty sure arnold played jnrs at willy..........

Re: North West Cricket Association

i understand with the whole 'form after 4 rounds', but sides arnt picked on form.........hird a rumor that S.Lee to captain the combined side...no1 has even got him in any side, so if the rumor has any truth, we all know nothing bout cricket!!

who is skipper in your team??

I have Erdman or Russel.....reason: they keep there teams is most games, when the opposition appear to have there measure talent wise!

Yep, that's right.

You coached him to a flag, then you went back to Taylors Lakes, got on the beers and pissed your pants.

He was a Laker before he was a Willi.

Re: North West Cricket Association

Why do people keep having a go at clubs who recuit players from other comps. I believe that it makes the comp stronger and besides that it shows that the clubs who are able to bring in and attract new players are doing a lot of things right.
The clubs who are not able to do it should look at what the Taylors Lakes, Pascoe Vale Centrals and Gladstone Parks are doing and be more proactive to bring new players to their clubs instead of crying.
I have never known of any club to tell a new gun recuit he can't play for them because he didn't play juniors for them.

CCC must be doing something right then...How many new recruits have they got this year? Berry, Hassan, Patterson, Carton, Sharma. They have improved out of sight...

I find the timing of this topic very funny...

Best new recruit so far for me it would have to be Hussan has taken wickets and made runs.
