any news on how the taylors lakes went in the 20/20 after winning the regional play-off?

Keilor were 0/108 off 10 overs, before being bowled out for 137.

TL were 7 down, but fell about 25 runs short at the end.

That will be the last on the problems at RP. You can talk about the issue in terms of players moving elsewhere or what lies for the club now etc.

However, do not air anymore dirty laundry on this site about the rumours or reasons or excuses why the club went through this problems.

Unless you feel like a holiday from the site.

Now carry on with the cricket talk lads!

Well said Straightbat/Beached As, I am personally sick of the whole saga!

Back on to the cricket:

Tips for this week?? Games are:

Campbellfield -v- Buckley Park
Taylors Lakes -v- Rox Park
Gladstone Park -v- Pascoe Vale
Syd Hillside -v- KGG

Re: North West Cricket Association

roxy has lost prob 1 good player out of the 1st 11 personally i would have to agree with other statements and say that yeah the other 4 were deffinantly tag alongs who if he said jump they would all be saying how high. how bout you boys (the deserters) grow up and try and stand on your own 2 feet and not worry so much bout what A.R has to say.so as far as im concerned you can have the rejects boys. have them at your club for a month and see how much they all suck the social side out of the club.

tips are as follows:

CCC Vs Buckley- CCC to strong and in good form
Taylors Vs Rox- Taylors too strong and will win outright
Glady Vs Pascoe- Dont write of Pacco but Glady will bounce back
Syd-KGG- KGG will win on their crap wicket

Re: North West Cricket Association

A note to all from Roxy

Wake up to yourselves and stop airing your dirty washing on this forum. You are making your club look and sound worse by throwing insults at each other and fighting with the guys who walked out.
Standing on the outside looking in your club sounds like a rabble. If you want to attract new members and players you are not going about it in a very good way - remember this is a public forum so anyone can read this.
They're gone! Move On and rebuild your club.

Russell has been around the traps and played at 4 or 5 clubs in the last 10 years. He is only loyal to himself and to his interests.

Syd Hillside -v- KGG

Campbellfield -v- Buckley Park: Similar strength batting line ups maybe CCC just in front, but on form of Batsmen CCC well in front, CCC's bowling far to strong for BP to counter. My Tip: CCC

Taylors Lakes -v- RP: With all the goings on down at Roxy in the past 2 weeks they could not have received a worst assignment first up, TL at home are as tough as any in the comp, only Killa would be a recognised Luscombe player and the rest are young kids, watch for the likes of Thomas/A&S Lee and Markham to dominate this game. My Tip: TL outright!

Gladstone Park -v- PVC: Should be a great game, it has to be said that PVC have not lived up to there potentioal this year despite their position on the ladder, only P Tripp has had any consistency and needs support from his mates. GP would still be reeling from last week, its not often you make 374 on your own ground and get beaten by a side langushing near the bottom (Although CCC would have to be the best bottom side going around) Expect big performances from Shepheard, Telford and D Pitts, after quiet games by their standards. PVC need big games from both Tripps and C Hare to have any chance. My Tip: GP

Syd Hill -v- KGG: Tough game to tip, Is Hackney fit? the answer to that question will go along way to deciding the out come, Agree with Oldman65 the KGG wicket is awful and is possibly the biggest home ground advantage in the comp, having said that KGG rely on a precious few, Rogo, Viani, Catana If Syd can stop their influence they will win. My Tip KGG in a close one

Good Luck for the weekend!

Re: North West Cricket Association

Wouldn't Gladdy be loving all the focus being on Roxburgh Park at the moment? They have just been smashed by the cellar dwellars of the past few years, who look like they may be coming good, but nonetheless, Gladdy you must be reconsidering your depth in that side after a loss like that. Your so called "gun" bowling recruits mustn't have stood up? Ash Fackler is my vote for the ugliest man in the comp too ;)

Silly silly man,you cant win and keep it nice.
From what i heard gladdy lost the game with over 5 dropped catches, wickets on no balls and some help from the CCC square leg umpire.
How can you question GP s depth when they are 7 and 1.next you will be questioning Taylors lakes depth.
My advice to you is keep it quiet until you make finals bcos im tipping BP to bring you back down to earth this week.
But i will say luck or no luck chasing 380 is a fair effort!

I can tell you all with absolute certainty that "Barney's Mate" is NOT a player or member of the Campbellfield Cricket Club!!

We at CCC have not and would not ever question the depth of the Gladstone Park Cricket Club, they are a fantastic side and we are very happy to have matched it with the benchmark in the competition!!

So again I can assure you all that whoever this guy is he is not a player at the Campbellfield Cricket Club!

Also to answer your comments about dropped catches, i must say that is one of the most ridiculas statements i have ever heard! In almost every cricket game there is dropped catches, I didnt see any comments last week when J.Markham was dropped on 4 and went on to make a wonderful 148!!

So lets look past that and just give credit where it is Due! Chasing 374 and winning 6 down is a fantastic effort and any batsmen making 178NO dropped catches or not is a great innings!

I was not at the game and didnt hear abt markhams dropped on 4.
I also agree catches win matches.
Great chase and great effort by an individual to get a big hundred.
I was only having a go at the guy questioning the depth at such a strong club.

No issues mate

Today will be the 4th game in the last 3 years that a game between us and Paccoe has been weather affected, very freaky stat.
