If that is all correct, that is astounding. Something has gone horribly, horribly wrong. I heard Meekins wasn't playing anywhere at all. Was a reluctant participant this year due to outside commitments. That would leave one. Geez.

What Bricky doesn’t understand, you boys just made a grand final, and we’re very close to winning up until the last few hours. How can all of a sudden this have this kind of effect on you’re whole club. You and all your other mates on here have defended this “toxic environment” and talked it down to be nothing, when in fact you now have no players left.
Not one of you wanting to stick around for the love of the club, pretty piss poor if you ask me. All of you way to eager to chase the $$.
I’m sure the committee and old boys at your bunker would be thrilled when they’re the heart and soul of the joint and all you see is the $200 a game.

Well uncle tezza mudguts brick head had you on $250 a game a few months back now its
$200 to me that just doesn’t add up with the 58k they spent last season

It's a poor reflection of all those involved. They lose a Grand Final by 70 runs and everyone in the team quits. What about some determination to go one better next season?
I don't have any sympathy for the club though. Toddy is not a fan of paying ordinary local cricketers. You might get some short term success. But in the end, it all comes crashing down and the club is financially poorer as a result. LP would have been better off spending its money on facilities or having cheaper subs.
The new president @ LPCC will lead the club in the right direction. The club is stable financially despite the goings on last season. Plenty of hard work put in by club people to break even.
It's juniors are impressive, well run & show real promise for a sustainable future.

No point in bagging blokes for chasing some coin. If clubs are silly enough to continue to throw it guys who are, no offense, nothing but slightly above average club cricketers, why wouldn't they take it up?

Slightly better than average cricketers who put money above success? Recruiting these guys with the hope of winning a flag would be Einstein's definition of insanity.
I think its a shame for lower plenty to lose so many cricketers at once. Close to going up and could be relegated this season.
Henkel will be a good get but the rest aren't worth the baggage and certainly not any cash. Buyers beware and all that stuff...
