This is good weather for bob catting.

Couldn't agree more knob jockey..

I woke up this morning, looked outside and the first thing that popped into my head was ******** this is perfect conditions for leveling out a bit of ground with a bob cat.

C.face would like to congratulate the Manhattan kid on picking up a bag of wickets on the weekend.. he's really improving the young go getter from the states.

Re: subbies season 07/08

Just wondering news on Peter Handscomb of Kew. Believed to be one of the states best in underage level. how is he goin for kews 1s.

Re: subbies season 07/08

old mate weopo just running out his partners and another failure you will be under the pump at the selection table this week mate and im tipping sheeds would of had enough of you and by all reports of bringing down a great club like your own... pull your head in chipper:D an talk cricket not the dribble that comes out of it.. all the best in the field this week chip it will be a long one an the only thing you will be running out this week is yourself running out of options to stay in the 1st XII! you cant bat you defiently cant field and bowling thats out of the question... so it looks like you will be on a maccas run@| all the best cocko!

cudios to the kid from manhattan who took 4wickets he is really coming along and is impressing everyone at the club with his speed an the ability to the swing the ball... his got a great future...

Re: subbies season 07/08

Your team mates must be proud of you weapons, when you havnt made a score in the firsts. All your runs come in the seconds. If Williamstown are so good then why are you still opening up in the firsts. Its only a matter of time before your dropped Weapons. Your a discrace to Williamstown mate.

yer you can say what you like its easy isnt it............thats ok if i do go to the two's no probs from me i will probably be there next week im not shying away from it.........9 of our grand final/champ winning team played in the two's last year and no we wenrt the best side in it over all but the commitment the last 3 weeks of the year was second to none.......in the end nobody could get near us.......anyway looking to get out and take a couple of early catches and maybe even a runout......a score of 300 plus you might even see me in the bowlers column.....

good luck boys.......

Re: subbies season 07/08

I should have stuck around.... How many slower balls did you dish up??

some interesting results.....broady v wezza outright moves the green and gold machine into 2nd spot.......
there was a tie endevour hills and the mounts.....
melton losing 19 wickets for not many cmon boys you's are better than that.......

Re: subbies season 07/08

Tell you what old son Oakleigh have a very very sharp prick talking about heat.Might want to pack a spare pair Weapons.

Re: subbies season 07/08

That would be Lee Hodgson I presume? They tell me he's very sharp but does that account for losing a pitiful 19 for 145?Reckon that mythical Zimbabwean better arrive soon or it could be curtains for Melton.BTW how's your dry cleaning bill Knobjockey?

Weapons - I am an interested east grouper. Noticed in your magoos two guys have been making runs and (maybe) putting pressure on you. Davis (130 odd in 3's and then 79 in 2's). Smith, opening the batting, 20 odd then 40 in the twos - is he left handed like you? Is he a relation to the other smiths in the ones. Can you enlighten us???

G'day everyone..... enjoy the banter on this thread so i though i would join in the fun.

smith is a very defensive opener who isnt easy to get out but scores 1 run every 10 overs. is left handed but no relation to the other smiths. not much chance of goin to the 1's, im my opinion he should be playing 3's.

Davis iis a chance but not an opener so browny might be safe for now. 16 year old with heaps of talent but a bit lazy and laid back in his approach to
cricket.

but can definitely bat and bowls a bit as well, should get an opportunity soon.

hope this info is helpful

Re: subbies season 07/08

Thanks Poopa Troopa

Good info but are you being a bit harsh? You obviously know or have seen these guys. A guy who you say is lazy has made a lazy 200 in his last two hits and I bloke who has made runs in his last two hands you suggest should be demoted!!!
I noticed a Davis was in last years championship team - same guy???

Re: subbies season 07/08

Nah not the same davis Laurie 07..

Dan Davis is the one that has made runs last 2 weeks. he'd be 16 or 17 tops i reckon. No chance of anyone else coming from 2's to play in 1's. well from willy's poitn of view you'd hope u dont need any of them. Opening batter smith is the most boring man alive.. adding to that is the fact he gets white line fever and makes a fool of himself running his mouth while he bats..

First signs of werribee's younger players not being up to it???
Surely its not that broady were too good...
