What are everyones thoughts on the T20 round? Not sure its worth only having one T20 game in the season for points..
Don't like it, not sure what purpose it serves
It is to ensure players are equipped for T20 Cricket if they choose to play Premier Cricket into the future. People will say we have a Tuesday night T20 Competition but that is played by the majority of the 1st XI so this match gives all XI's the opportunity.
I would say 95% of players do not love the format and would rather play a 45 or 80 over match but the reality is, is that it is a form of the game and we need to accept it and move on. Must be taken seriously when there are 6 points up for grabs.

Totally agree with this post but if you want the buy in from the players, the competition needs to ensure the round itself is taken seriously.
You can't play a game for 6 points when you bowl 5 overs from each end. If that means you start the game early, then so be it, don't think many people will mind with a 11am start time for 3rds and a 2:30 start for the 1s.
Also, 6 points for a game that gets played once a season is too high.
Sub District '' sub standard ''5 overs from each end? Give me a spell. Is this comp run by imbeciles?
Heard a whisper that Brunswick fell foul of the points, can anyone confirm/deny?
Looks like they are at 19 points, 3 under and have had the same team all year. Hearing the club that fell foul may be on the other side of the Yarra
Years ago if you made 200 day on day one you were almost home, that all changed when grounds were re-grassed and now run like lightning, add to that the 3 metre rule and 300 is almost par on a lot of grounds.
Some big scores on the weekend - team and individuals!
Ivanhoe 6/337
Willy 304
Preston 302
Caulfield 338 - Thorne another ton - 161*
And a bat from Endeavour made 160
Well documented but what a turnaround from Ivanhoe in the offseason. And now to put the results on the board straight away is fantastic to see.
Believe the bat from EH is a Warwickshire junior county player.
Very hard to stop Thorne in subbies - if he doesn't get you with bat, he gets you with ball. He's clearly a level above and I'm amazed that he's not playing premier cricket somewhere. Caulfield look comfortably the team to beat in SE with Balwyn and Bayswater the likely next best with MW and Oakleigh not far behind.
Early tip for Val Holten would have to be Perera from Noble Park - his numbers are crazy so early on in the season!
