Came on here and then luckily I went back to sleep. On really hot days I close all windows and doors and let the roof insulation do its thing. Saves on running the air con for long periods. Putting in insulation was the smartest thing we ever did.
Thomas, is very worrying about your government planning on building hundreds of bomb shelters. Is there anywhere you and family can hide, say a cellar? Jessica should your govt do the same. And do you have anywhere to hide in your home. This may be a knee jerk decision, but when free Europe faces a deluded unstoppable tyrant like Putin, precaution may be the step to take.

That would be worrying indeed. I haven't heard of those specific plans but did hear that civil protection would be improved. We have seen two tests of being warned via smartphone and they were successful. Building bomb shelters would really be ironic since they've left all those bunkers to rot. For some of them guided tours are offered, though.
No, we wouldn't be able to use the cellar 'cos we might get buried alive in it. I guess we'd all try to hide in the basement car park. But if the four-storey house collapses and falls onto it, we can only pray. OMG, just thinking it has come to that!
