Came on here and then luckily I went back to sleep. On really hot days I close all windows and doors and let the roof insulation do its thing. Saves on running the air con for long periods. Putting in insulation was the smartest thing we ever did. It's good if you have somewhere to go then.
That would be worrying indeed. I haven't heard of those specific plans but did hear that civil protection would be improved. We have seen two tests of being warned via smartphone and they were successful. Building bomb shelters would really be ironic since they've left all those bunkers to rot. For some of them guided tours are offered, though.Thomas, is very worrying about your government planning on building hundreds of bomb shelters. Is there anywhere you and family can hide, say a cellar? Jessica should your govt do the same. And do you have anywhere to hide in your home. This may be a knee jerk decision, but when free Europe faces a deluded unstoppable tyrant like Putin, precaution may be the step to take.
That's my fear, being buried alive. I'd rather take my chances above ground, or in an underground station. Let's hope it doesn't come to this ThomasThat would be worrying indeed. No, we wouldn't be able to use the cellar 'cos we might get buried alive in it. I guess we'd all try to hide in the basement car park. But if the four-storey house collapses and falls onto it, we can only pray. OMG, just thinking it has come to that!
I've never had a fear of Heights or the Sea, but thanks to a cruel older sister holding me down under my bed's blankets I developed claustrophobia from the age of seven. It's not dreadful, just uncomfortable, when I'm in enclosed spaces. That's my fear, being buried alive. I'd rather take my chances above ground, or in an underground station. I was locked in a cupboard by cruel school bullies as a form of initiation. Only for a few minutes but that was sufficient to trigger my life long fear of small enclosed spaces. I have to choose a large elevator otherwise I climb the stairs.I've never had a fear of Heights or the Sea, but thanks to a cruel older sister holding me down under my bed's blankets I developed claustrophobia from the age of seven. I can't go on any elevators unless it's a glass scenic elevator, and there's not many of those around. The last one was in an exhibition centre, and maybe a library, but don't come across them very often.I was locked in a cupboard by cruel school bullies as a form of initiation. Sounds awful. These scary experiences last a lifetime. I think mine started from falling down the hole that I told you guys about.I've never had a fear of Heights or the Sea, but thanks to a cruel older sister holding me down under my bed's blankets I developed claustrophobia from the age of seven.
