The Season to begin on October 2. 1st 5 rounds are one dayers, Rounds 6 to 8 are 2 dayers. Rounds 9 to 12 are T20 games(incl Country Rd on Jan 8) and Rounds 13 to 17 are 2 day games.

One Day Final on November 28.

The Final will be on March 25,26,27 2011.

The Fixture is due out next Tuesday.

What do people think about the season's fixture, particularly the fact that the Country Round will be T20 matches.

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11

PCC didn't do it last year as they had no connection to the Hong Kong CA.

Now that the FECC coach knows the Hong Kong coach, they have a connection and (I guess) an invitation.

Im hearing whispers about Carl Sandri to North Melbourne and Matthew Love resuming his premier cricket career at Arden St. Any truth to this?

Matthew Love is captaining at Yarraville.

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11

Had heard that Carl would be back at Essendon, but I would have thought that he'd be down at North Melbourne with the O'Sullivan connection.

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11

A huge exodus of talent and experienced people from Dandenong over the past few seasons.

Is this another club to be divided by Darren Dempsey?

Biggest loss by Dandy is Jackson Coleman, son of former Fitzroy and Sydney AFL payer Glenn, who is a potential Victorian and Australian player, having represented Victoria and Australia at under-age level..

Again Melbourne swoops on young talent rather than developing their own !

How old? Would want to be playing District 1s in the next year if he is to play for Australia one day..

Yep, sure has already played Premier Firsts. Did so at the beginning of last season with Dandenong before being a member of the Victorian U19 team at the National Championships and then was a member of the Australian U19 team that won the ICC U19 Championships in New Zealand in late January 2010.

Has tremendous talent and will represent Victoria and Australia in the years ahead.

Melbourne's poaching is Dandenong's loss as it was the Dandenong/Prahran coaching group that brought him up thru the Pathways program.

Hmm, a little unfair; Melbourne have a pretty darn good record of bringing young kids through the grades. You can say that they tend to get the best talented kids through their connections, but they're not serial poachers.

Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11

Who would be the injured Melbourne Uni bowler? Only player that comes to mind is Nick Williams.
What is the go with North Melbourne? Have they found a training facility yet and who will captain? I would assume they will have a lot of players leaving.
Prahran seem to have done well with recuirting over the winter.

In other news, Melbourne Uni may be missing their best bowler this coming season.
Williams's shoulder is rooted , unlikely to play

Yeah, the Two Blues have certainly been pretty active in the off-season under new coach Walton. Have picked up some gun batsmen but the loss of Huckett will outweight the inclusions. Was their gun/strike bowler and not much else there after him. Probably looking to score massive totals and hope for opposition collapses !
