It has recently come to the attention of the VTCA and the sporting public of Melbourne that the Maccabi Ajax Cricket Club and its players have been racially vilified in comments posted by members of a Facebook group on the internet. Those who posted the comments are involved with McKinnon Cricket Club and Beaumaris Cricket Club.

The material posted is outrageous, abhorrent and totally unacceptable. This is particularly so when it relates to a sport that prides itself on being played in a spirit of fairness and sportsmanship.

The VTCA has contacted the clubs with whom the offending persons play cricket. We have been in discussion with Cricket Victoria and have agreed that at this stage it is appropriate for the McKinnon and Beaumaris Cricket Clubs to conduct their own investigations. The clubs will then consider and advise us of appropriate responses from both the individuals involved and each club.

The VTCA in conjunction with Cricket Victoria will then determine whether they consider the responses to be appropriate.

id recon instead of the clubs handling it internally the vtca need to show a bit of balls and get on the front foot to get rid of these imbociles cause the clubs are gonna give them a slap on the wrist the vtca are gonna say yer ok and every 1 moves on until it happens again.........you know who they are and where they are from do something about it cause its tarnishing your compitition...........you talk about fairness and sportsmanship i dont think the vtca is being true to themselves........

Since when has the VTCA been about fairness and sportsmanship!! We'd all go and play VSDCA if we wanted that. But I spose this a bit different to an innocent little semi-final punch on

Apparently these clowns are only 3rds and 4ths players though so they might as well suspend them

Apparently these clowns are only 3rds and 4ths players though so they might as well suspend them

4 years ago , Isaacs was on a committee that suspended Doutta Stars 1sts for 2 games , 1 of which was a semi final , effectively ending their season when they were on top for what could only be described as " friendly off-field" sledging towards some Mckinnon players.I was a player in that match and i can tell you , your grandma wouldnt have been offended by what was said so it will be very interesting to see how he handles this.

I dunno mate, but I think the paper said there was a mckinnon bloke calling himself "deputy in charge of holocaust references" or something like that.

But I spose the comp and the clubs will get the full story

I doubt very much this is really Tony Issacs. Or maybe he only does witch hunts & concocts stories against his neighbouring club up the road when he hasn't any evidence at all because his poor ex students continue to wallow in mediocrity. If the VTCA don't act on something like this, it will continue to be the laughing stock of all Cricket Victoria.

Well, well, well. 4 years later & it's all caught up with you. What goes around, comes around.

I suppose the toothless VTCA can't suspend you from the finals, coz you never make it.

Let's hope they don't throw you out of the comp. Can't wait to play you & continually sledge from 1.00pm - 6.00pm.

What a pity the self proclaimed great Goughy's still not around. Would have really capped off a great day.

And just for the record, Moose is back this year.. We were nervous over the off season, but he was at pre season last week raring to go.. (I assume 'no more moose please' is refered to that)

I hope he does play , as good as "Moose" was 20 years ago , what he bowls now should be served in a 4 n twenty rapper with sauce and sold for $6 at the footy. @| @|

We had T.Jeffrey last year, he was pretty handy, but has moved on unfortunatly. As for the other 9 players, i have plenty of faith that we will be better this year, few kids coming through.
