Well 1000 runs is hardly an arbitrary figure for success! Just a pluck really. Admittedly I havent seen Churches cricket in a few years, and last played against CA about 4 years ago, but I will stand by the fact he should make plenty. Even with his obvious technical and temperamental flaws, he has a good eye and I dont imagine much heat or movement being served up in A turf churches.
As I said originally, I wouldnt want him coming in to bat for you when you are 4-20 on a sticky.
Mick Menzies always a better player than CA - but that probalby illustrates that cricket and particularly batting, is played between the ears!
