Children - settle down. Slowly you're all descending into petty playground spats, lets get away from that and stay classy.

well there's a surprise then!

Without pointing the finger or accusing any club/team of anything, Melton South 2s defeating the 1's does raise some serious question.

My club along with all other clubs in the A grade have played both South sides and it is VERY hard to believe the result.
Well done to South 2 anyway.

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association 09/10

i played on the weekend for the south 1 and trust me our south 2 team played very well and truly deserved the win, fair to say they played their best game of the year. for us we didnt bat out our overs and played with a player short for the 1st day. no excuses still but the old sayin goes you bat your overs out, 9/10 you win. we bowled and fielded very well i thought just that south 2 was the better team on the day. im sure if there was "anything" going on as some people have mentioned im sure you can ask the umpire and see what his thoughts were. cause we both played the game hard but fair just like any other game

last year we also had both teams play top grade we got smashed by most teams most weeks but when it come to playing each other we seemed to lift as the banter at training was full on. We played realy well posting 180 of 65 overs best for us all year week two rained out the 1sts were let of the hook.
Every man that walks on that field is a competitor and if you dont have pride and respect for your own performance give it away.
Good on the 2nds for getting up. i dont know anyone going into a game expecting defeat unless your paid hansomely for it (Hansie)
u shouldnt need to defend yourself againt small minded fools.
do your best and play for the love of the game.

Not really part of the churches talk but Id like to thank St Johns for putting on another great super 7s day. It was enjoyed by all who attended. Next year if you didnt put a team in, get on board, it is a fun day. Thanks also to Willy Congs for their tuba playing player. I couldnt believe he fielded a ball with it!

He even bowled and took a catch with it on also i believe.

Great to see a bit of FUN at the cricket for a change.

Well done to Altona Nth & ANA for making the final with Altona coming away with the $$$$$$$$$$$$.
These 2 teams are also playing off in the 20/20 on Wed

It's been a good last few days for the Northerners, 6 AN players played in the winning 7's team and today won the 'Best in the West' T20 comp.
