Terry you mean WWI at the end of which the treaty was signed in France.
Craig was it the beginning of that Spanish flu. Not sure if it began in England but it's possible given that it was actually spread by American soldiers if my memory doesn't deceive me.

Agreed about the Yankie Dough boys first getting the Spanish flu (in US training camps) Thomas, and then spreading it onto Europe and on to even Australia, at the ends of the earth then. Like my WA still.
I think it got first reported in Spain and so they copped the bad press re the name. Serves them right for their Inquizations.
Seriously, after a soul breaking WW1, the Spanish flu was deadly and killed many millions.
Not good times for sure.
