Yes I have described James Bond. You are losing the plot Thomas as it is the criminal mastermind that is German.

I have watched them including Spectre otherwise I wouldn't have figured it might be James Bond. I just couldn't remember the name of the villain nor that he was German. The name of the actor still doesn't mean anything to me either. What confused me was that you said "he" appeared in several books, movies, settings. I wasn't aware that DP did. And as I ruled out Bond for not being German I got stuck.

You have not heard of Donald Pleasence Thomas. One of Englands most prolific character actors. You must have seen at least one movie he made as he he had to have made at least a hundred of em, incl Hollywood epics such as The Great Escape, also worked in the American Halloween series of films. He is one of my fave actors.

What sport, what time? What makes her well-known outside her career in sport?
She was a recorded singer. But it was sport that she was most famous for. She lived in the first half of the last century. She showed sporting prowess from a young age in both basketball and baseball prompting her Norwegian parents to give her a nickname of an 'infant', after a male baseball star.
