Isn't he looking to get a coaching position next season

Not at West we wouldn't touch him with a 10' barge pole. The only club apart from Deer Pk that l see might look at him could be Gellibrand who have a conection with Willy.

We have our sights set at a lot higher level than Pop Gun and they are not easy to get and don't come cheaply but you have to be ambitious to succeed.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

Big weekend coming up.

If the weather stays ok i think that GU will get up against Digman. The big game players from GU to get them over the line.

In the other semi i think Wyndhamvale will get up over the Gimps. Both sides carrying a lot of players but experience playing on that Thing of a wicket should come good.

Digman can make big scores and at a good rate but they have to get over the mental hurdle of playing GU.
Welshy will need to ton up along with Kane, Charlie, Hynes and Nagi need to get a big score to help Welsh.
I would even throw L. Collins up the order, he is batting to low and if he gets going he can score quickly which can hurt sides.
For me GU will be too strong and just too experienced this time of year.

Imps will have to improve there batting and again will be mentally damaged after their performance last week.
If Robbo has hurt his Right hand then will that affect his bowling?
Will he be able to grip the ball properly?
Not that he is a great turner of the ball anyway, this week maybe a big test for him as batsmen might get on top of him and hit him out of the attck early?

For me it doesn't matter who wins this game, they will be playing for 2nd anyway.

Its good to see we are underdogs + been written off already boys!!!!!!!
I suppose they deserve to be favs, seen as theyve beaten 2 top4 sides the last 2 games,BUT who was the last side to beat them????
We also have a reasonable record against them over the years + we do not fear them like most........

I think that you will find that poor old flipper is hauled up in QLD trying to keep his life is some sort of order. Most clubs would be happy to have him in their side as the bloke can bat (chanceless 100 in the last game he played for the club). When he was suspended by our club, who came sniffing around as soon as word was out???? Probably not the best decision as a coach for the club, but that has a bit to do with the bloke doing it the previous year, that had signed on for three years, bailing out.

Maybe so, but wyndhamvale got the right to hold it at home. Newport should have been playing at home too, but lost all in last two games. They must have lost players Digman. I would open L.Collins this week. He is the player to step up if digman can win it. Very good all rounder.
